Bad
I got this for christmas and I was actually very excited. I opened it and the instructions seemed very simple. So I go to plug it into my iphone 5 and cannot get it to work even though I had all of the adapters bought separately so I didn't have an issue connecting. I then tried my samsung galaxy tab 2 and could not even get it to connect to this. On top of that I opened the box and realized the middle connector for pause/sound was opened and broken.I am extremely dissapointed in my purchase.

good but not good enough
I bought the glasses for my upcoming trip based on the review here. The first thing I realized was that the picture on one eye was a little bit blurry. Read the manual it claimed there nothing such focus setting and the if the pictured is blurry I would need to used my description glasses. Al tough I feel having the perfect vision for reading books or looking at my ipod screen the video picture in the glasses appeared a little bit blurry on side. So I guess you really need to have 100% eyes to use this glasses. For me the blurriness felt pretty annoying and I found my self just taking the glasses off and using the real screen. Also the virtual screen, that was created though the lasses seemed to to be much bigger, that the actual screen on my IPod touch. This might also be caused by the fact, that the glasses do only support 4:3 ratio. For me it was not $300 bugs worth but I believe it's a high tech devicePro:* sound through the headphones is very good.Cons:* If you don't have 100% perfect vision, the video will spear blurry* The screen dimensions you will get with these glasses is not much bigger that the real screen provided by the Ipod touch or IPhone

Battery was shot. Rest of the unit is fine.
Battery was shot. Rest of the unit is fine. I expected this due to the fact that most of them on the market are that way.

If only they could be as convenient as the Solos...
I have been using Myvu's original video glasses (the Myvu Solo) for about a year. Although I'm thrilled with their convenience, their resolution is not the best and that can sometimes be distracting or tiresome. When I found out that Myvu was coming up with a VGA resolution model, I had to purchase it to see for myself. The most obvious change Myvu has brought to product design probably stems from the fact they wanted to simplify manufacturing and parts inventory: the Solos came in various models, all with different, permanently attached connectors; if you bought an iPod version, there was no way to play non-iPod videos on it later.Although you can also buy the Crystal in various configurations (for iPod, for Zune, Universal, etc..) you always get the same glasses and pendant; only the bundled accessories change (iPod cable, Zune cable, or for the universal version an assortment of cables and a case)Unfortunately, this means doing away with the elegance of the single-cord, batteryless Solo for iPod. Instead, the Crystal provide a thicker, heavier pendant which contains a Lithium-Ion battery that must be recharged separately using a USB cord (provided, but charger only comes with the deluxe bundle)Then, the A/V source is connected to the pendant by plugging the appropriate cable into the 3.5" video minijack.Of course, this means that if you're on a 20 hour intercontinental flight like I was recently, you will have to carry not just one (like I did for the Solo) but two USB power sources to increase your battery life: one for the iPod and one for the glasses (I highly recommend the Duracell Mobile Charger CEF23DX2 ). Note that the iPod connector has a USB passthrough connector which allows you to power and charge the iPod while playing videos to the glasses. The manual consists in one double-sided sheet of paper. An 8 page manual is available on Myvu's web site. Neither manual explains that you should first perform a full charge of the pendant before attempting to use the glasses; instead, it states that you can use them while charging! This is just not the case. Mine arrived completely empty and behaved erratically until I left the pendant in charge for a while using a high current USB charger (my computer's USB port was not able to kick-start the charging process). Myvu should correct their online manual immediately or risk exceedingly high returns and service calls on glasses that are perfectly fine.Things got much better once the glasses started working: the picture quality is excellent, considerably better than on the Solo. Contrast, brightness and saturation could be be better, but they're fairly adequate (the only available picture adjustments are three brightness settings, that's a bit on the skimpy side for such a pricey piece of kit). The picture suffers from some slight pincushion distorsion, but nothing too bad.PROS----Excellent picture quality and definitionVersatility: the iPod model can be easily connected to a camcorder or a Zune given the right cableDoes not drain battery power from the iPodCONS----Messy tangle of wires (compared to the Solos)Limited picture adjustmentsNo vision adjustments (frame for prescription lenses available as an option)Glasses require separate chargingPanels should be widescreenLimited set of accessories bundled with iPod version (no power adapter, no hard case...)In conclusion: in case I haven't made it obvious yet, the Myvu Crystals have their share of flaws, and that's unfortunate because Myvu really had a winner product with their Solo glasses. All they had to do was upgrade the panels on them and they would have had a 5 star product; the new design is a step back in usability that costs them a star. You should not let all this negative detract you from the Crystals: they're a wonderful, unrivaled way to watch video on the go. If you fly often or have a long commute by bus or train, own an iPod, Zune or other portable video player, and know how to get video on it, they're a no-brainer.I'm very glad I upgraded -- next time I upgrade will be for a model with the convenience of the Solo, a better resolution than the Crystals and widescreen panels.

great, but fragile

Would love to tell you more.
Like I said I would love to review this product. But I've been sent two now and both have not worked. The directions are basically none existent so you have to go on line and down load a user guide. But in a nut shell. I don't think that this product is worth the hassle. If you can get them from a store and they WORK cool. But I would think twice before ordering them. You've been warned.

Had issues with the battery in the remote controller (puffed out to 4x and probably would've exploded if I weren't watching it.
I owned a Wrap XL and enjoyed it. It looked goofy, I guess, but when you were walking, you could get used to it. These show the video in front of your face while giving you more to see when you do walk around (which is better than the Wrap. The problem for me was that the controller is basically badly made. When I got mine, the battery had expanded and puffed out to about 4x its size. What I could see when the controller snapped open was something that looked OK but somehow felt cheap at the same time. Sure the Wrap had a wonky controller too but at least the batteries were AA so I didn't have this problem. After reading elsewhere, many people seem to have this problem with the battery pack so I'm going to end up having to stay away.

OK, I mean...
I bought them only for curiosity and they're only OK. I mean, for travel they're perfect, except they're pricy and the battery is only for 10 hours. You'll live without them, believe me.
