The size is perfect for small to mid sized work spaces. I find having two of these, versus one big one, allows me to remove one of them to bring in my air brush set up, bring in additional light, work on bigger items, etc. without ruining my daily setup. This works as expected and was shipped fast and flat with no surprises.

These are great to have and not just for using in working with fabric, although I use mine for fabric. I have three different sizes and so far, the only complaint is on me, not the company, or rather on my other half. If you do let it lay on a flat surface and then it gets covered by a very light weight towel and put something hot on it, guaranteed to get out of shape and hard to get it back to flat.Hubby did that; I was not happy. He tried to fix it and made it worse. Naturally, he ignored me and so it has been tossed, and I bought a new one. I have another one where I had placed a very nice flat mat. I had it in a safe place. Then hubby moved it, had it between two pieces of wood. How did I know that, looked, could not find. Hubby says check the storage room and low and behold; if we had young grandkids, they would have loved to have a tunnel to race their toy cars through.Needless to say, I will in a couple of months buy a replacement -- and then I will kick his rear if he touches another one of MY mats. 44 years of marriage, he's my man, I can kick his rear, but no one else better try LOL

One of these mats is definitely a must have for a consistent crafter like me (I used to use paper plates for the same purposes). This mat is good when you are using glue, cutting things apart, need something to stick tape on and so on. When it gets messy, it is easy to peel or scrape off any residue. It also has a handy ruler on it, which I use a lot more for scaling and measuring my projects than I initially expected to. It was a bit stiff and continuously curved when I first purchased it, but my sewing machine now sits on it forcing it to lay flat. This caused issues in the beginning but no longer seems to be a problem. Definitely recommend!

This self healing mat is very functional in that it is all set up with measurements on both side with well defined lines and numbers. It does not slip during use due to the weight of the mat. Clean-up is a breeze if you get anything on it. The multiple layers will make it something that will last for a long time.

It's not numbered on all 4 sides so a bit hard to ensure you are straight. The material and forgiveness is good. I wanted something in inches to reduce clutter and my confusion however this is marked in centimeters also.

I like it. It is functional and there is enough contrast to be seen under a silica mat.
