Just a simple and effective heatsink, not too big
I have two of these, both installed on hot-running 4th gen drives (WD SN850X). The max temp I've seen with the drives right next to a 400W GPU after hours of gaming is like 60C. With the "included" heatsink on my motherboard they're over 80C. This thing is much more effective and super easy to install. Also makes it nice since I test a lot of system and move drives around, not having to peel thermal pads every time I want to remove a drive from a board.

Very nice
I have about ten of these in all the different colors. They are well designed, built and look great. I have mainly used them on Western Digital and Sabrent drives, and it works very well at dissipating heat. These also work very well when your video card hangs over your NVME ports. I would highly recommend these to anyone.

Saves money for PS5 upgrade
It's wild how much a built in heat sink can increase the price for a drive when it only costs $10 to add it yourself.I recently got a PS5, and wanted an extra M2 SSD to make sure there was plenty of space for games.Buying a SSD without the heat sink saved about $60.The Heat sink was very easy to install and fit in the PS5 without any trouble. Now hopefully it will prove to be as effective as promised and make sure the drive stays cool and running for a long time.

Provided significant reduction in controller temps
I bought this for a Samsung 970 evo plus NVMe SSD. Was easy to install. I have this as the second NVMe SSD in my system, on the back of a X570 I AORUS PRO WIFI (rev. 1.0) motherboard (very little airflow back there). Before installing this heatsink, my temps in this SSD were regularly peaking in 70s, sometimes as high as 78 on the controller chip. Now it peaks in the low 60s under extreme use after installation. In fact, after installing the heatsink, the controller chip is now running COOLER than the NAND flash memory chips when at idle....and when running at peak use, the controller is running only a few degrees hotter than the NAND chips, whereas before, it would run about 15 degrees hotter than the flash memory. So I am VERY happy with this purchase, and was really surprised what a difference it made, especially since there is absolutely no airflow in the back of the motherboard where this SSD is located. So bottom line, this heatsink lowered my temps on average about 10-15 degrees Celsius on the controller chip, which of course is the hottest part of this particular SSD. Highly recommend.

Works fine, does not perfectly fit PS5 however
This heatsink has no issues installing, but I had to push the PS5 cover back down to get it to close as this is just tall enough that the cover pushes down on it. I swapped it out with the Sabrent heatsink cover and all is good again.I don’t know what lasting damage could happen from long term usage of this heatsink on the PS5 due to either not putting the cover on or shoving it down to close.

Work great!
The heat sink is nice and easy to install. The instructions are not that great. I found you should put the thermal pad on the heat sink first then center your drive and then put them together. Installing the thermal pads on heat sink first works better. I installed two of them.

Perfect heat sink for PS5 NVMe
I’m really satisfied with the quality of this heat sink. I installed it on my WD SN850 and it fit perfectly in my PS5. The PS5 benchmarked the drive at 6600 MB/s which is exactly what I expected.I recommend installing it so that the EZ logo is on the end of the drive’s connector just as it’s shown in the product picture instead of having it towards the other of the drive. It comes with a Phillips screwdriver, but I strongly recommend using your own screwdriver since it’s a little bit too small for the screws and if you’re not careful you can easily strip them.Other than that it’s perfect. I looked at several cheaper options before ordering this one, but I always prefer to pay a little extra for a better quality product.
