This was so fun to use!! DO YOUR RESEARCH PRIOR!!!!!
Exfoliate a day or two prior!!! If you get major ingrown hairs and have horrible dragon skin like I do, this will drastically improve your experience. I made sure to watch every video possible and took the main tip of taking the room/body temperature into major consideration. It's 106 degrees in Texas, most homes are around 78-85 degrees internally so I veto'd heating up the wax prior to use. I showered first, thoroughly dried off. Wipe down my legs using witch hazel and used a wooden tongue depressor to scoop out the wax. It was firm but pliable to the touch, a bit stringy so make sure you're not anywhere it would matter if you got a little sticky stuff on it (comes off real easy, even off of the rug! lol). I will say learning the technique was fun but it does require a lot of practice due to the temperature being a major factor so you really gotta get in tune with that. I found using the tongue depressor or a card worked best for me when it came to the lifting technique. Application, I switched between the tongue depressor or my hands, kinda just depended on the surface area coverage I was going for. I practiced on my legs before moving to my bikini area, I still think about the review on how the woman glued her legs together. This was definitely a application and temperature issue. I highly recommend using very small amounts (I would use an amount that was about the size of a marble?), you don't need a lot at all especially when you are learning still. I definitely flicked some folded ribbons of sugar everywhere at times, they said to flick like you mean it and it should fold on itself so you know you're fulling parallel to the skin. Choosing between Hard or Medium wax, again, taking in the temps of Texas I went for the Hard wax. I think it offers more versatility due to the environment. A few hairs were missed, due to either technique/hair length/hair thinness but 1 out of who knows how many I'll take it! My hair grows in really sparse and thin on my legs, I don't even shave knee up because you can't tell I even have hair (Asian genes). My husband pointed out it was probably fun for me because it didn't hurt due to the lack of density of hair most people experience. None the less, I did attempt my bikini area which I have had professionally sugar'd once (which hurt like no other) but when I did it (2nd time ever sugar'd), it was less awful? But they say after the first surgaring will always hurt less so there is some truth to that. Aftercare is super important, I used a mixture of oils that are light and non-pore clogging to help alleviate the areas. Woke up baby smooth and no issues!

Awesome Sugaring Paste!
I have a back injury and it was very hard to keep up with shaving so I decided to try sugaring. I have sensitive skin and coarse hair so I grabbed the Hard paste. The first part I sugared was my legs, it hurt as you're ripping out your hair, but it hurt MUCH less than I thought it would! It was easy to learn, I watched many tutorials before it came. It certainly saves money with all the product you get, and it saves me from additional back pain! Since I've never had my legs waxed I imagine the growth will be different at first but the first time lasted me almost three weeks! The only time I've been waxed at the salon was my Brazilian, with sugar wax and strips. My skin was enflamed for days and it was painful, but not with this! It was PAINLESS, I swear! NO redness or swelling! This stuff is GREAT, a nice choice for anyone who is tired of shaving and getting that awful razor burn. It exfoliates and leaves your skin looking beautiful! Try it!

Will buy again
Love this wax, i know the instructions say 10-15 seconds but i do 60 seconds due to the jar size. I use this product with popsicle sticks and wax strips. Love the results! Plus it dissolves with warm/hot water.

Great for wintertime, okay for summer
I decided to wait until a couple months had passed before writing a review because I wanted to make sure my opinions were actually reliable. At first, after purchasing this sugar paste, this stuff was a mess! I had a very difficult time controlling it when trying to wax my legs. There were numerous occasions where it flew off my hand and stuck to the wall or the floor. Thankfully, the wax is water soluble, so it was easy to clean up! As time went on, I began using the plastic waxing tool thing rather than my hands and that seemed to work way better! I was able to more effectively get the "wrist flick" and get more hair out with each pass...and the wax didn't fly off and hit the wall! In terms of effectiveness, I have yet to see it get ALL of the hair. This wax does a much better job at pulling the dark, thicker hairs rather than the light, thinner hairs on my legs. I find myself still needing to shave the remainder of those little guys after I wax, but my legs do tend to stay completely smooth for at least 3-5 days after waxing! It is also worth mentioning that my legs are definitely more sensitive for the first 24 hours after waxing. They feel kind of tingly-ish, and I notice things brushing against them more frequently. I also have some red bumps all over for 6-12 hours after waxing. This makes sense, though, as I am ripping the hair out of its follicles...of course there will be some irritation and redness immediately after! In terms of timing, this wax is better used in the wintertime rather than the summer because I need to let my hair grow out enough for the wax to actually grab a hold of it. I don't like to do in the summer since my legs show more frequently, but in the winter when my legs are covered most of the time, I have no qualms letting my hair grow out a bit!

If I could leave 10 stars I would!
I’ve been making/cooking my own wax for about 6 months and if you don’t get the temp, cook time, and ingredients perfect it does not come out right. It can be very frustrating. So I decided to give this a try. This is the first wax I’ve purchased and it will be the last wax I ever purchase! It got all the hairs and was so easy to work with! If you’re having trouble with this wax working for you, it’s your technique not the product! Can’t recommend it enough!

Horrible Gooey Mess
Horrible gooey mess. Nothing like their videos. I watched all tutorials, followed all instructions and tips. There is nothing that could be done in any temperature or any consistency and it was like sticky toffee that never got to the point they show in the video. They probably do that so that you give up doing it at home and go to their salons. Waste of time and money.
