No regrets - this is one great rechargeable headlamp!
There are so many of these bike headlights, it’s difficult to choose, and with fake reviews rampant, you never know if you can trust the ratings. After spending what felt like hours trying to choose a headlight for my son’s bike, I decided on this one, based on its features, and the number of positive reviews that appeared to come from reviewers with real profiles and lots of varied review histories. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the product exceeded my expectations. For one, it’s smaller than I expected, and much sleeker than the old incandescent lights I last bought around 5 years ago. This is likely thanks to the rechargeable lithium ion batteries, instead of the 3 AA batteries the old lights took. I was kind of worried that recharging would be a hassle, but I moved an old powered USB hub I had into the garage, making recharging a snap. Speaking of battery life, we went on a 1 hr 15 minute ride yesterday, and a 2.5 hour ride today, without recharging in between. We used primarily the main flashing mode for our daytime rides. By the end of today’s ride, the led indicator in the power button changed from green to red, indicating low power, but the headlight remained full brightness, thanks to the lithium ion power. I’m not sure how much longer it would have lasted, but 3 hours and 45 minutes is enough for our rides. If you ride at night a lot, then you might need something with longer battery life, but for most casual riders, who mainly want something to make themselves more visible to cars, this fits the bill.As for brightness, this thing blows away my old incandescent headlamps. It’s clearly visible in bright sunlight, and at night, it shines a nice even beam in front of the bike. I don’t have anything to measure lumens, but this light won’t go unnoticed. When I turn and catch a glimpse of this light, I constantly think I’m seeing a car. It’s that bright. The light has multiple modes, but I primarily use the main flashing mode during daytime rides. It also has smaller yellow leds to the sides of the main white light, that slightly improve side to side visibility. Switching modes is simple, too, just press the power button to toggle. The mounting strap works great, and grips the handlebars firmly, without slipping. I’m not sure if the rubber will lose some of its elasticity with time, but for now, it’s very easy to use and quite secure.Charging is via micro usb. I might have preferred usb-c, but it’s fine. I don’t know how long it takes to charge because I usually just plug it in and the next time we go for a ride, it’s fully charged. The led power button flashes red as it charges, and then turns solid green when fully charged. There’s a small rubber cover over the charging port, that feels a little flimsy, and I can easily see if getting ripped off and lost if we’re not careful.Overall, for the price, I find this headlight a winner! I liked it so much, I ended up buying 3!Oh yeah, it also comes with a red led taillight. The taillight runs on button batteries, and they give you a pretty generous supply of them, which is nice, but honestly, I don’t use the taillight, since I’ve gotten better rechargeable ones on amazon. But it’s a nice touch, and those little taillights might be good as spares. They’re surprisingly bright, too, but changing button batteries is kind of a drag.Hope this helps you decide!

How to blind everyone who crosses your path.
Good evening everyone,I got this light as a gift a month ago, and I have to say I have tested out a large variety of lights for riding at night on trails, highways, cities, and small towns. This is definitely a light I would recommend for all of the above. It has amazing battery life, and I will get more into that later in the review. As far as installation goes, I handed it to two kids who were 8 and 9 and they figured it out pretty quickly without the instruction booklet. Both lights had energy when I received them in the mail, though I still recommend charging them.So to emphasize the brightness of these lights, they can be seen easily at over half a mile away. They give amazing field of view on both spectrums, with just the red brake light I am able to make things about in pitch-black conditions by about ten feet. The front light has a variety of settings from dim, medium, and bright that will blind any pedestrian or oncoming car with relative ease. There is also a strobe function that has been pretty useful, and a final option where a small blinking light happens on both sides; alas, it isn't quite bright enough for me to notice them, but definitely is eye catching within 20-30'. I was also able to make out animals while I was out on the trails, and had a broad field of view going well past twenty feet and stretching out to fifteen feet across almost. Whichever way you turn your handlebars, you will easily see anything you're curious about; furthermore, I had a police officer flash his lights at me when aimed directly at him, it will definitely make people notice you on busy highways and crossroads. As far as battery life is concerned, I've been able to get multiple hours out of both sets of lights. I've been using them for about a month with Oklahoma weather, and I was unbelievably surprised due to the recent ice storm that came in. My front light was entirely encased in about 1/8th of an inch of ice from the weather, and despite that I was still able to turn it on and have maximum visibility!!! I honestly didn't think it would work once I got out there, and I admit it had a "Need to be charged" red light that came up, but once it thawed out it was back to normal capacity. This is a durable light for all types of weather. I've had excellent visibility in sleet, rain, as well as foggy conditions. Granted, I recommend pointing the light down towards the street when in busy areas if you don't want people to get angry with you; although, for most scenarios, this light came in handy in every scenario. I will definitely buy another one when the time comes, and I like that I can just plug it into my computer and charge it up in a hour or two.

Light, compact, bright enough, and affordable enough to put one on each side of the handlebar
Although I tried a brighter single LED rechargeable bike light which was about 60% higher in price (and also brighter) with battery bank function and ability to slide out of holster to recharge or use as a flashlight, I just bought two of these instead. Reason is, they are very light, compact, still decently bright on their own, and I can simply put one on each side of the handlebar for a more comprehensive field of brightness. I can run both at full, just run one at full and wait till it runs out to turn on the other (still fully charged) one or use both at lower setting, either latter option of which can be useful for extended length night bike rides. The flexible rubber/silicon band used to attach to the handlebars is easy enough to remove for charging, or if you just don't want it there.Although it doesn't have an independently rotating function like the holder of the more expensive light, it is easy enough to just rotate the attachment band on your handlebar to a more desirable position or line of sight. When appropriately secured it still isn't loose enough to move around a lot independently of your deliberate re-positioning.The only real drawback of functionality is that unlike the other light, it will not "remember" which of the five light settings you left it on before turning it off.As for the small included battery-operated tail lights, I have a very bright rechargeable LED one already, so I do not need them. (And due to peculiarities of how the rear of my bike is set up with a rack have no great place to attache them.) However, I figure that they can be used as emergency roadside flares or markers for personal or vehicle safety purposes. So there's a nice little bonus.

Front light battery dead after first use.
I tried this light the first time and it worked exactly as it should. The second time I tried it the front light didn't work so I thought the battery might have been fully discharged. After a half-day charge the light would work when plugged but not at all after I unplugged it. Retried different charging times combinations and I just think the product I received is defective... Contacted the company for an exchange or return and all I get is virgin Canada Post label and I have to pay for the shipping costs... I am currently in contact with the company to get this issue fixed but quite disappointed with this situation...

Quality feels great
Product looks and feels good quality. Shines nice and brightly enough to light up unlit roads. Rechargable batteries are handy. Front light is a little smaller than expected but this isnt all bad as it is more compact and les bulky whilst still providing decent light.
