Deconstructing the Beatles: Abbey Road 2-Film DVD Set

Brilliant! Scott Freiman does an excellent job of researching the background of the songs and the technical aspects of the recordings. He is lively and enthusiastic. I have seen many Ken Burns and Great Courses (which can for 18 hours - how about The Higgs Boson for 12 hours!) and Scott fits in - educational and entertaining. I will get some if not all of the other Beatles lectures. Now, I must say, if you have ever been in a recording studio, these will be very impressive as Scott goes into sound boards, synthesizers, etc. To the guy who said Leslie speakers don't rotate - the two horns rotate - the singel bass speaker is stationary with a rotating baffle. Both create a Doppler effect with stationary mics.

After watching this DVD, I realize that I short-shrifted the greatest band of all time of their collective genius. For anyone who appreciates the music of the Fab Four, this DVD is a MUST have.

This is another very well-done presentation and analysis of the Beatles' albums. I was very pleasantly surprised how prompt the delivery was, and the product itself was tops - excellent.

For the avid Beatles fan, this is worth the price. Rabid fans know much, but not all material presented. BUY IT!
