Pleased with these
I have used these to make a small automated model that includes a little industrial railway. These have suited my needs perfectly.What you get is the front, top and sides of the part that holds the lights. You also get the LEDs and suitable resistors.You have to wire these up yourself. I used 22 gauge wire in red, green, yellow and black. The black being used as a common ground. I used heat shrink to insulate each connection and bent the LED legs downward. The resistor is wired into the common ground so that only one resistor is required per signal.For me, this item is ideal. If you buy this, be sure you are competent at soldering, that you know about the polarity of LEDs and the use of resistors.

With a bit of effort the ground level signals look really good.
These do not come with any instructions and the wiring for LEDs is directional. They only work when connected the right way round. Longer wire is the ground. Test with 3v battery to determine how to connect. Some good instructional videos on U tube. After that its simple and straightforward to create really good looking and effective ground level or overhead gantry signals. Some skills with fine soldering needed and isolate with heat shrink. Good value.
Good value if you know what you're doing & are handy with a soldering iron.Not for the beginner.Using a higher value resistor that those provided will make the light more realistic.You can make a very presentable little signal with a bit of work & patience.

Bought these thinking they were 00 gauge, but they’re not the probably engage or even smaller so I ended up giving them away to somebody who had one of those type of model railways

Nice item that makes good looking signals, check internet on how to wire leds before making as item does not come with instructions.

Versatile product
Built my own 2 aspect signals with these using 3mm alluminium tubing, a bit of heat shrink and scrap mdf for base.Exellent
