Found 1 locksmith said he could do it for $800. He tried 2 hours and couldnt do it.Audi dealer said they could not program or cut key.New Dealer key? MUST be ordered. Takes 2 weeks. Comes cut and programmed from Audi...$1000.No locksmith can program it. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY LIKE I DID BUYING THIS. Before you do...call some locksmiths and find iut for yourselves.

Now I have to set the key to work

So I received the replacement key fob and took it to the dealership to be programmed..unfortunately Audi keys need to come directly from the Audi company,so they tried were but unsuccessful at getting this key to program to my Q5. They said they've experienced this numerous tymes, and to date have been unable to program any Audi key that isn't directly from Audi. I hope you can either figure out a solution, or simply stop misleading people to believe that these keys are programmable.

The media could not be loaded. Audi wouldn't program it I called a locksmith they came out and programmed both my keys for $325

Don’t waste your money. These keys cannot be programmed by Audi dealers or anyone else. I took it to three different locksmiths and finally the dealer. Only keys that come directly from Audi can be programmed. Locksmiths can order and program for far less than the dealer, but the key must be an Audi manufactured key.

So the car doesn’t recognize it so I can’t use it to start the car. I have to put the key in ignition instead of pushing the start button.Also, the locksmith informed me that cars 2012 and older cannot be self programmed using the car. Mine’s a 2012 Audi Q5. I had to pay $450 for a new key anyway. Audi wanted $700!But this works as a great spare key. I can lock and unlock remotely. Set the alarm. And most importantly, start the car. Which is better than it sitting unusable in the driveway like it was!I hope you never need this item, but if you do, it does its job!

Can't be programmed! I have a 2014 Audi A6 and took it to a dealer after a locksmith said only dealers can program them. 2 hours and $250 later I have a brick in my hands. DO NOT BUY THIS!
