I just wanted to do some yardwork when I peered out of the corner of my eye at my little 11 lb guy sliding through my aluminum fence railing. How would I ever get any yardwork done when I was paranoid every time he ran close to the fence?I had to find a solution-after a quick amazon search I found Puppy Bumper! This light weight contraption may look a little odd but this saved my sanity. He can run & play in it and really doesn't seem to mind it at all.That is all-now back to yardwork.

So I’ll be honest, I bought this in November 2022, I left in package till 3/15/23. Really!My dog is an amazing escape artist. Her older brother helps by removing recovery collars, I’m in constant repair mode patching, engineering new repair, with reuse mindset. I thought the bumper was too small.In Reality it’s a good fit, secure, just big enough to keep her shoulder from getting to fence rails. I have decorative aluminum that looks like iron fence. The one you can afford and HOA allows. She’s an Aussie and contorts her body to wiggle through. I had hoped her head would get big enough, now 10 months that hope is fading. I purchased my second bumper on same day I took first out of the package. Skeptical now believer! It’s amazing!

This pillow is genius at what it was designed for. It kept our 10 pound pup in the yard and this guy is a Houdini when it comes to slipping collars, digging, climbing - we don’t even know how he’s just expert level at getting out. My mom has been telling us for years to get this thing, we should have listened sooner! We would have saved so much time watching our dog do his business in our fenced yard.Now here is the AMAZING part. THIS COLLAR SAVED MY DOG FROM A VICIOUS ATTACK - IT LITERALLY SAVED HIS LIFE!!! We were pet sitting for a family member’s English Bulldog/Pit mix. For a week this extra dog was the sweetest, calmest angel in the world. The kids were in love, the dogs were best buds, then one day she snapped. I didn’t see the start, there was no food, toys, etc. We were being aware of things that could trigger issues bc we were getting to know her. Whatever started it, she attacked our sweet old guy and for almost a minute drug him all over the living room shaking him by the neck and going for the kill. It was a brutal, awful attack that left our dog battered and bleeding. I thought he was dead at first. I took him to the vet and when reviewing the X-ray’s the vet said “he shouldn’t be alive” the bites “were indicative of an attack to kill”. There was a deep gash under his chin that was so bad the vet could not fathom how he had escaped death or how it had missed the carotid arteries in the neck. It hit me - he was wearing his neck pillow!!!! When I told our vet he agreed. Even though the larger dog was able to shake him so hard that he got the collar off of our dog (which is not easy since it laces through his collar and is intended to not slip off - trust our dog has tried to squeeze out of the yard in it) - the attacking dog couldn’t get to his throat. I was ablevto stop the attack before she could finish it, but I believe if I had not been home to do so our baby would be dead. Once that pillow collar came off it was about to be the end. When we got home from the vet, the pillow was laying there and with a wash looked new. You’d think it would have been torn to shreds but it was in perfect condition.If you’re unsure about this collar, buy it! You’ll have peace of mind knowing you can leave your dog out a few minutes alone to do his/her business, and in the off chance there is an attack your fur-baby may live to see another day!Please note, our dog did get his front paw through the pillow collar while trying to scratch out of it and he got stuck that way in a matter of minutes when we first started using it. We had to adjust his collar to fit a bit more snugly but once it was on properly he was good. For this reason be careful leaving it on your dog while they are unattended.

She had gotten out of the yard twice before I received this in the mail. I do not worry about her getting out while she has the bumper on. I do have a 1” wide collar inserted through the loops to secure it on with. She has not tried to take it off her head yet. So I keep an eye on her while she’s out there. I am just thrilled that this device works so well. Thank you!!!

Second time in ordering was very pleased with the first one we got. Ordered a second one to have as a back up and they sent me the wrong size. Will be returning the second one. Overall very good product took off a star due to the late shipping and got sent wrong product which also seems defective as it’s much more skinny as the first one I got is much more filled and thicker. Also looks like a return they sent me as the wrapping was different.

These puppy bumpers are the best item ever designed for small or larger dogs to confine them inside your railing or fencing. I have been purchasing these for about 10-12 years for my smaller toy breed dogs. They are unique and so different from plastic cones. They are lightweight and with fabulous colors and designs and very unique. People make comments constantly. I even have two for mdr and small fur baby visitors

This thing is awesome! I was going to put up some wire mesh across the lower part of the rout iron fence but no need to now. She loves to where the bumper and it keeps her in the yard.

This is a great product to keep my dog safe and in side of my backyard.

Doesnt work for my chihuahua who is intent on getting out of the fence. She now just digs a bigger hole.
