Hardware Transcription Kit, Include Universal USB Digital Foot Control and Spectra USB Transcription Headset

I am absolutely in love with this Transcription Kit! The headphones are so clear, I can hear every word the doctors are saying on their dictations. The headphones come with a nice little carrying sack, and and extra set of earbud covers. I do wish the headphones used the headphone jack instead of a USB port, because I have limited ports on my laptop. The foot pedal connects to my laptop very easily to my laptop as well. Of course, these items only work with your computer as long as you have a transcription program installed on your computer. The foot pedal has a little weight to it which is great because you don't want your pedal to flip over while on the floor. The pedal is very easy to use, and the buttons can be changed to be what ever command you would like. (Middle=Fast Forward instead of play, etc.)

Be prepared to resintall Olympus software using the alternate serial number. I didn't bother, just got a different transcription software. The pedal had a lot of configuration options, though, and the headphones are top quality. Only gave 4 stars because of the hours I wasted on the phone with customer service and on the internet trying to figure out why the pedal wasn't working with Olympus.

So far it seems to be quality equipment. Easily connected to my computer and works perfectly. Sure makes my transcription work easier! I received an email from seller/manufacturer prior to their arrival thanking me for my purchase and telling me who to contact if I was not completely satisfied. That means a lot! Would definitely purchase again.

I am sure this works fine for someone. But it does not work for my FTR equipment. Spendy purchase only to find out it is not, in fact, compatible.
