Good coffee
I dated a Cuban girl for a handful of years and she got me hooked on Cafe Cubano, I've tried all the brands but this one is my favorite. My perkolator gets a little plugged up from it being so finely ground but it makes a nice brew

Rich and Tasty Espresso, Though the Aroma Is Mild
After trying the Café La Carreta Espresso Coffee Brick, I was pleasantly surprised by its rich, full-bodied flavor. The taste is smooth yet bold, with the classic Cuban espresso character—strong, slightly sweet, and very satisfying. It works beautifully both as straight espresso and in milk-based drinks. The reason for my four-star rating is that the aroma is weaker than expected. While the flavor profile is quite enjoyable, the fragrance during brewing doesn’t fill the room the way some other dark roasts do. For those who prioritize a strong aromatic presence, this may feel a bit underwhelming. That said, the coffee offers solid value and consistency. When used for lattes or cappuccinos, the mild aroma becomes less noticeable, and the coffee’s body and taste really shine. Overall, this is a tasty, dependable espresso brick with excellent flavor, even if the aroma is on the lighter side. A great everyday option for those who enjoy smooth, bold Cuban-style espresso.

We had been given some of this coffee by friends and it was VERY good - so looked for a way to get it when they weren't scheduled to visit. Hesitated at first because the web site image was a bit different from the packages we received from friends. Glad to report that what came in the mail is an exact match in both packaging and content (so maybe the web photo is of older packaging?) Great coffee.

Smells and taste horrible.
I learned through my process of searching for good Cuban coffee is the manufacture must have on there label that there coffee is a blend of arabica coffee beans and robusta beans. This one is not. They trick people by putting Cuban coffee because of HOW you make it. Not what the actual coffee is made out of. This one though is just horrible all around. The aroma smells like cheap dirty coffee. The army coffee i had smelled better and it tasted as bad as it smells. Stay away.

WOW this is REALLY good!
My son talked me into buying this because he wanted to make cortaditos. Typically we only drink organic coffee as it is a heavily sprayed with pesticide crop. I would have to make an exception for this coffee though! I'm not certain about what it is with the flavor. Like a roasted after taste or something, but its really, really good!
