Granular dry acid, fine particles will dissolve fast, larger ones will take a bit of time. Instructions on package with suggestions.This is hazardous as it generates ACID dust if you pour rather than scoop, even then a little dust is inevitable, especially on a windy day, so make sure to wear eye protection , a suitable chemical particle mask, and gloves. You know how it goes, if all else fails, read instructions, lol.Once in the pool, it does the job, oh yeah, you’ll need a test kit or strips to dial it in.I put this in a freshly filled pool and a month later at end of season, the acid level had not noticeably changed. I did notice that once all my chlorine tabs dissolved, the chlorine level did not drop anywhere near as fast as when relying on chlorine tablets that also contain this acid In them, there’s not enough in them to get the acid level to move very far on their own, more for maintaining a previously established acid level over time. I will definitely buy this particular product again.
