Cold Steel Double Edge Katana Japanese Swords with Emperor Blade, Black

Sword is dull on both edges. Overall quality looks like a cheap wall hanger. Has a cheap cast gold color tsuba. Handled an earlier production version of this sword from Cold Steel years ago. The quality has dropped precipitously. Not at all worth the price. Update: I returned this item to Amazon and it took a long time to get a refund. I shipped it back and it was delivered back to Amazon for a week of business days before they issued a refund. So, please note if you buy this sword or any higher priced item and return it for a refund Amazon is likely to get the item back, possibly resell it the next day while holding your cash interest free. With your cash and cash from other poor saps, they'll make payroll, buy a few pieces of machinery, buy back some stock, and then a couple weeks to a month later finally issue your refund. The whole time though, you'll be out hundreds of dollars with nothing to show for it. Buyer beware indeed.

Wonderful. Pay the extra $ for this. Don’t get from from any other place. They test their products rigorously. This is not a knock off sword. It’s real and it will kill.

Great addition to my sword collection. Well made blade but the scabbard is way too tight.

I ordered this sword from another vendor and got burnt, when I went to review for some reason this provider popped up. Just caught that, I haven't gotten this order yet but I have bout and sold 5 88DEC Katana, and they're awesome. I'm keeping this one because they are getting harder and harder to find. Sneak preview on the next cold steel katana to come out of Japan. I won one at a raffle at the local masonic lodge and it's a mini katana 2 inches longer then the imperial wakizashi. It retails for around $1300, I believe. This katana is worth all of $700, that's how much I'd pay for it...cause that's what it's worth. The mini version is 2/3 of this sword so I'd pay about $450, if I didn't have one. If you buy one at a cold steel lot sale for a grand, you will either be disappointed or you will think licking doorknobs is a fascinating profession(hehe). I just hope this seller doesn't hold a grudge and make me wait as long as possible for delivery (though I'd understand if they did).

Bought this Katana from Cold Steel the company itself several years ago. Retailed for $900 and change, paid 741.00, so this very sword at half of retail and hundreds off original sale price is a really good deal. May even buy a second one now that the prices have gone so low on this first rate, quality katana sword that is not made in China, but manufactured in good old Japan.

Für den Preis ist dieses Schwert eie Frechheit. Die Tsuba sieht billig aus (trägt teilweise grobe Nähte), Die Schwertscheide war nicht passend (das Schwert ließ sich nicht komplett einfahren. Zudem war die Scheide unschön und splitterig im Innern, Holzsplitter klebten an der Klinge. Leider ein absoluter Fail!
