I am not the only person who gets highly irritated by modern cars constantly dinging, ringing, beeping, bonging, and lecturing when a seat belt is not fastened. There are many instances when I need to get in and out of my vehicle several times (when hooking up a trailer, making frequent stops to fill water troughs, etc. All of these chores are done off-road, nowhere near a highway. I always wear my seat belt when driving on-road, but I don't need the idiotic irritation of constant noise and "reminders" when in and out of my truck doing chores. In one of my cars, I couldn't even let my dog sit on the passenger seat without being told to "fasten her seat belt." Right.These seat belt blanks are well made, solid metal inserts, and a real bargain at the price. Glad they come in a four-pack. I keep a couple in my cup holder, and instantly silence the cursed "reminders" as necessary. Should have gotten these years ago. My frustration level has dropped substantially!

I couldn't believe how hard it was to find a simple seat belt clip -- I just wanted a basic replacement for the seat belt buck so that I could disable the continual nuisance chiming when I put something as light as my cell phone on the passenger's seat.Finally, I came across this item: simple, sturdy, and a good fit. Many of the alternatives I looked at had fancy, colorful/decorative attachments, and the tongue looked to be made of a less sturdy material. This one is plain and simple, exactly what I was looking for.Note that this clip has a metal tongue that looks like the same material as for a standard seat belt. I'm not a metals expert, but in any case, it looks to be very durable.Note that there seem to be two standard(ish) widths for the "tongue" part (the part that is inserted into the latch) -- approx. 7/8" and 1". It's best to measure the tongue width for one of the existing seat belts in your car to ensure that you pick a clip of the right size. There may be some tolerance, i.e. you may be able to get by with a mismatched size, but I didn't want to risk it not fitting after waiting a couple weeks for my order to arrive from China.My only (minor) complaint was that the tracking info was only useful until the shipment cleared customs. After that, I was in the dark until it showed up in my mailbox several days later. Not a big deal, but it did make me realized how spoiled I've become from being able to track most shipments with an update every few hours along the way. In the end, it arrive at the early end of the delivery window, so I was certainly happy with the end result.

My Mini Cooper's passenger seat will set off the seatbelt alarm if my phone is set on it, because of electromagnetic energy or something like that, according to Mini. Since I'm almost always driving the car alone, I find this to be extremely helpful! Really helped me out when I moved to my new home, too, and had heavy boxes on the seat frequently.

I have property that is at the end of a long dirt road.(8 miles) It is very rough and you must go slowly. Wearing a seat belt is uncomfortable and hearing the constant thing is aggravating! This is a perfect solution. Once I am off road, seatbelt comes off this unit slips right in and problem solved! In point a quiet and comfortable ride back to the ranch.

My car only had two seats, so when I haul animal feed it has to go in the passenger seat. That sets off my alarm. This does its job and sets off the alarm. Just buy the plain ones tho--don't bother buying the blingy iridescent one, tho, because the design just fell off the first time I used it. Now it's just sticky tacky and covered in dirt.

I ordered these seat belt clips for my 2008 Toyota Prius. I needed one for the front passenger seat when I take my dog places so the seat belt light would not flash while going down the road. It fit perfectly into the seat belt and turned the light off. Now I can take my dog places and to the vet without the large red seat belt light flashing on the dash. This product worked perfectly for me.

We have a very long driveway and our car chimes if the seat belt is not engaged. These clips allow us to traverse the driveway without engaging the seat belt. We never use them on the road as we always engage the seat belt. But it's perfect when using the truck for work on the property.
