Look, the best pencil I've come across is a Tombow, but they are expensive! This pencil is about as dark, doesn't require lots of hand pressure, and is cheap. The Chinese got it right with this one. Part of the reason people would rather use a Bic pen is legibility and ease of use. Pencils can tire you out unless the can produce a dark line without lots of pressure. Well this helps relieve that. For the price you can't go wrong for that spin around the block. Go ahead and try!

I’m a person who dislikes pencils with paint on them, and these natural ones are a pleasure to write with. Also, I work in a facility where the clients are not allowed to have anything sharp so having a pencil without a metal on the end is quite helpful for me.

I like to buy the polymer eraser heads separately…with that said, they’re a perfect match. I absolutely love the graphite in these pencils & the fact that no matter how long I write with them they never seem to hurt my hand, skin or fingers. I get a really nice highly pigmented graphite when using these 💯 genuine quality that sharpens up beautifully every time!

I wasn't expecting anything at all from these. They were a shot in the dark. But they came straight, well-centered, smooth and dark (2b) I'm surprised and extremely pleased. I may whittle and paint some wizards or lizards into one end of these and hand them out to my grandkids. Terrific value.

It is a good value for the price. The pencil writes very smoothly, even with a light touch. However they are not as dark as I hoped; not quite 2B, more like an HB. **Reevaluated, the pencil is a true 2B, therefore now rated 5 star.**

The Amazon photo and description as of 2024,2,29 shows "Hexagonal" shape. They are not. They are triangular which frankly I prefer. The photo shows no marking of any kind on the pencil, no text and simply a blunt raw wood and lead ends, both top and bottom (before sharpening). They are not. They have a lovely cherry red 'cap' colour at the top and along one side are the markings of "HB" and the company name in English and an Asian script (sorry, I do not recognize it). Finally, the Amazon photo shows that the pencil wood is plain. No. Check out my photo to the the brilliant cut in grooves for finger holding. These along with the triangular 'barrel' make holding and writing with the pencil lovely for extended writing sessions. At 30 cents a pencil these are super cost effective.Using these with my (red) Bostich electric sharpener provides a clean, shave with a fine point. To date I have found the lead itself to be strong, does not break, and fairly dark without a lot of applied pressure for an HB.How much do I like these? I have ordered another 50 right away because, with Amazon, you never know when product and sellers come and go.P.S. Amazon suggests a "Higher rated item to consider" namely its own brand name pencils. I have used them and apart from coming with a old school pink eraser top they are not anywhere near as good.

These arrived as described. The packaging is a hard plastic cylinder with lid, and was completely dented on arrival. It would not pop back into place. this wouldn't have been an issue but I intended to use this as part of a gift. A little disappointed by the package condition but the pencils themselves were in perfect shape.

If you are looking for a pencil for "heartbeat", then these are perfect. Letting the spectator select any pencil from many makes the effect even better.
