Bought this as i have the 12-100 but find it a bit heavy sometimes.Very compact, zoom and focuses quickly and the constant F4 is great in low light.Much lighter and a far better day to day lens than the 12-100.No faults as far as I am concerned.

Nice and sharp across the frame
I wanted a lighter alternative to my 24-100, so gave this a try. It’s a great little lens in the middle it is as sharp as my 12-100, but much better towards the edges. Fast focus, good contrast. If f4 and the equivalent of 24-90 is all you need I recommend it.

Might not be the upgrade you were hoping for.
I bought this lens to ‘upgrade’ the 14-42mm ez lens my OMD em10mk ii came with.The image quality of this lens is really good though if you were hoping for a marked improvement in image quality over the kit lens you might be disappointed. Simply put it’s not really that much better. A YouTube video by Olympus Visionary Peter Forsgard draws the same conclusion.Years ago I have a Canon EOS 400d and I bought three extra lenses for that camera which were all a huge improvement in image quality over the kit lens. However due to advancements in smart phone cameras camera companies these days cannot afford to package their cameras off with poor kit lenses. Consequently the image quality of the 14-42 ez is really rather good.On the plus side the autofocus of this lens is miles faster than the 14-42 and it feels a lot nicer to use. Also the constant aperture is useful in low light.I enjoy taking landscapes so the slightly wider angle is appreciated and if / when I upgrade to the em5mkiii so will the weather sealing. But if I was purely looking for a sharper lens then I might have felt a bit let down by this lens.

Excellent lens.
The first copy i had seem to have problems with focusing and send it back to Amazon, the second lens i received is werking perfect, very sharp, no focusing issues, a compact lens and excellent build quality, i'm using it with my Lumix GX9, a nice compact combo, easy for travel and take around.

Best value PRO zoom lense
Focusing in low light can be a bit challenging at times. Otherwise, faultless zoom.
