This product is really awesome and as expected. Nice quality and taste is just awesome. This is the original Japanese Aji-No-Moto with reasonable price and the best part is, it is pure vegetarian or even vegan product. I really like it.

Monosodium glutamate (MSG) in general, and Aji No Moto in particular (possibly because it is used as a generic term for MSG) still suffers from the false perception that it "causes headaches" or other health problems. These rumours have been tested time and again and never showed a grain of truth. This is an excellent flavouring agent, particularly for vegetarian dishes in which you want more umami flavour than, say, tomatoes or mushrooms will give you. Even in meat dishes, where the meat is not packed with flavour (like chicken, or prawns) it helps tremendously. I like Aji No Moto in particular because I grew up with it in the 70s and 80s, and also because it was by far the cheapest product in the market. If you like flavour, buy it without fear or favour.
