Rapid Edge Long-Lasting Rapid Edge Serrated Carpet Blades (10 blades), 1-Pack

Carpet installer for the last 17 years , over time the quality of carpet blades has decreased considerably and todays blades are just horrible , dull after only a few cuts , no matter which brand you use they are all junk ...I had high hopes for this new blades , serrated edges work well cutting fibrous materials so I bit the bullet and got a pack , at first glance they look just like a common blades with serrations cut into it ( and my guess is that they just cut serrations on a regular blade ) .They have a weird feeling while cutting , tend to get snagged on the carpet a bit but they do get stuck while cutting the foam padding , edge last longer than normal though , to be fair about twice as long , the biggest problem I have with them is the price at about 60 cents a blade while the regular ones are about 12 cents each , these would have to be five times better just to break even !Sadly they are not five times better , the cost makes them impractical for the trade .
