Tubers alive and growing! Totally worth the money!
Received 4 tubers in a sealed bag with air that kept the moisture in and they were all firm (no slime or soft spots) although all leaves were busted up. I put them in a container of water until planting (was waiting on aquatic media & fertilizer to arrive). The tuber sizes varied (3-5" length, 0.5-1" crown width) but all were alive. One tip I learned is to use sand to cover the dirt or just put a rock on the non-growing end of the tuber (as pea gravel can actually end up killing the growth whereas with sand it will push through). There's about 5" water covering the lilies and they are getting about 4-5 hours of sun. Where I live, it's still 85-90F in Sep and Oct I got these on Monday, planted on Tuesday. By Friday, one tuber had a lily pad on top of the water while the rest had 2-4 leaves growing at the crown. In regards to all the negative reviews: The posting & description is accurate as both say it's a tuber/rhizome you're getting. The photo is just so you know what the flower will look like. Thank you to the folks that posted pix of their flowers blooming confirming the photos in the listing are what you get as a final result. Ironically it was 2 star review that showed a nice clear photo of the tuber with green leaves/growth that convinced me to buy (as well as the return/refund policy adheres to amazon's at this time of writing and someone saying customer service was great if you had to contact them). For me the price was worth it, I would buy again. The local nursery rarely has stock but if they do, a fully grown lily is $25 each. My neighbor spent $45 at HomeDepot for a lily that looked like the orange one here. Update with photos: 1st is 3 days after planting 2nd is 2 weeks 3rd and 4th is 1 mo. So many lily pads it over crowded my bowl and ended up putting 2 lilies into my lotus pond. Divided one tuber since it had so many crowns. So now I have 5 plants. Note: Some of the leaves got torn from the rain water falling off from my roof.

Did not grow. Maybe next year?
Not happy with purchase. This went into a very established pond. I have several other aquatic plants that are thriving in this pond. I planted this lily just as instructions said. It only ever grew about one inch at most and now the temperature is dropping with the cold nights here so I'm assuming it's now gone dormant or it's dead. I will find out next year when it warms up but I suspect it's dead. Would not buy another and would also not recommend to anyone. I'll stick with buying locally from now on.

Great lily rhizome and great seller
I will definitely purchase from this seller next year for more lilies. I’ve ordered from this seller twice. Each time the rhizome came a day earlier than expected. But I’m in Phoenix, Az and in May it was already above 100 degrees. It came a day early and accidentally sat in the hot hot mailbox for too long. It looked fantastic with lots of growth and leaves, but unfortunately I think the heat was the problem and it did not survive. I contacted the seller, unsure if it was dead or if I should give it more time to rebound. The seller said he would send another at no charge. I didn’t feel like it was the sellers fault, as the rhizome he mailed looked so healthy. So, I purchased the next one with my own money. I stalked the shipping progress knowing it could arrive early and I didn’t want it sitting in the mailbox. It arrived early and I put it in the cool pond immediately while I got the planting supplies ready. I can’t believe how quickly the leaves grow to reach the surface. This lily has continued to keep putting out leaves all summer. My pond gets mostly shade all day so no flowers, but that’s to be expected and I’m ok with that. I wanted the lily, not for the flowers, but so the bees had a safe place to land to drink water. But considering it gets shade for 99% of the day, it has big gorgeous leaves and hasn’t stopped producing all summer.

Sprouted in water inside, planted in spring. UPDATE.
I received the tuber in good condition. It was still too cold to put into the pond so I submerged it in water and put on a sunny windowsill. It started sprouting from all around the tuber after a few days, I changed the water every other day. The stems grew out in speared leaves that were about 1.5” long when I put them into pond soil, trying to place the stems on the bottom spread out so it’ll reach upward and placed a fertilizer tab in the soil, placed the pot into the pond Easter weekend. I will update as I see progress in growth through the soil. UPDATE 7/10/2025 The Lily tuber is growing well it has over 30 leaves averaging 4-5” in circumference. There are no flowers yet even though we’ve had consistent temps of high 80’s-90. I haven’t fertilized again. I would buy this again since it did grow well and provides coverage for the fish and is half the price of buying a grown plant at a pond shop.

So far, so good
My tuber did not look anything like the picture. It was a black ball with no growth. I was optimistic though, and planted exactly as I should have. Nothing. It only rotted away into a slimier black blob. Edit: I am updating. Seller sent me a new tuber. It arrived just like the picture, with growth on it. I planted it yesterday, and by today, within 24 hours, it is already growing! When it arrived, it had 2 small sprouts and what looked like a shriveled up baby lily pad. Today, there is definately a small lily pad growing, 2 new shoots and the 2 previous shoots are bigger! I can't wait to watch it grow. Would but again, and the seller is awesome!

Plant arrived dead and rotten
Beware!! Read before you buy!!! I paid extra for fastest delivery and it still came very late and very dead. I received a yellowish brown, rotten and dead plant so I can’t do anything with this but regret my decision of buying this. the smell was enough to make me sick to my stomach; putting it in my pond would be disastrous to the ecosystem. Not a good purchase on my part at all , likely best to get seeds and start the old fashion way - at least you won’t receive a rotten plant in your mailbox that way.
