752 pages of incredible art design and detail about these Masters figures in an incredible book!First, Amazon for some reasons says this is book 2 of 2. That makes no sense, it's a single, 752 page book, and does not arrive in 2 parts. The description says the book was so large they had to split it into 2 books. That may have been in the past, but the book I received is a single, gigantic book entitled "The Toys of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe", which was published by Darkhorse Comics. This is a high quality text book with a solid hardcover front and back, with sturdy pages that don't fall out like some other books I've bought about collectibles.While the order is alphabetical for each phase of Masters of the Universe collectibles (MOTU), combining figures with playsets and vehicles based on their letter in the alphabet which is an unusual way to list them rather than by the date they were released to retail in general, the book's incredible detail and artistic design are so captivating to gaze at, that I can overlook that decision and be grateful for this incredible, overwhelming collection of artistic figures. This is one of the most amazing collectibles books I've ever seen in my life and easily the largest. Wow!Having this material as a digital book would be one thing, but having it as a physical book you can hold in your hands and revel at the weight and sheer amazing capacity of figures and intricate details they've packed into this book is incredible. The book is easily 5 pounds.The pages are each packed in full colors, featuring a large image of the figure/vehicle/animal/item, a list of the accessories and their pictures on the side, the awesome packaging (front and back) and graphics with the figure inside, or box, a few in depth paragraphs of text to learn about each item, several poses of the character from different angles, and the special feature described as well.Speaking of these classic and new figures, this book spans from the origin in 1982 or so, through 2020, spanning several lines of Masters of the Universe figures, including the She-Ra lines, and the MOTU Club line, which recently featured the figures identical to how they appear in the animated classic TV show from Filmation (which is great to see, especially for Skeletor, who's face never matched the classic show's face until this line).If you're a fan of collectible action figure books, regardless of whether you collected Masters of the Universe figures or not (of which I haven't yet in my years as a big fan of the animated show since being a kid), do yourself a major favor and buy this incredibly packed book of collectible action figures now. This book is a landmark in the history of collectible books. Never before have I seen anything like it. I own all the other Masters of the Universe Dark Horse books and have been waiting for this volume for a long time. This is was just what I wanted! Page after page, featuring all the toys from the various versions of He-man and the rest of the MOTU gang. I really like the layout and really appreciate the nice clear photos of each toy.The commentary and interviews are great too. Fans of the series will be very happy with this one! It was fun for somebody like me, who grew up with the original series to go back see all the figures from the second line (the space-heavy one) that I never really paid attention to in my teens.The only thing I wish it had more of was that it would have been nice to have larger photos of the packaging on some of these toys. Especially the big-box stuff like the iconic Castle Grayskull playset box art. Now granted, for a book like this, it is arguably (and I would agree) more important to have bigger photos of the actual toys than the packaging. So I would say this is a minor fault. Also, if you have the other books from this line, you'll already have some great close-ups of box art from that volume.This book is large and heavy and totally worth the price. If you can't afford all the original toys, you can at least have some pretty pics of all of them!
