Great Bike Computer
I'll start by saying that Garmin isn't the best company out there, they have a bad habit of getting into a area and buying other companies and then stopping and moving to something else. That said, they made a great bike computer. I didn't need to most expensive unit, but decided on this unit. The display is easy to read, and hooks to Wi-Fi so updates and downloads work fine. It supports a lot of various bike items like the Varia light/radar unit. You can select various screens while riding, from data to maps. There are different programs, Road, Mountain, etc. I use the road selection and watch my data as I'm riding a 1-mile loop for now. You use the Garmin Connect app on your phone and can see the results after or review it on the computer. I put on a case and screen protector to be safe. It mounts to the holder with a simple turn to lock it in place or remove it after the ride. I'm riding 5 miles a day currently and after about 2 weeks I still have 60% plus battery life. There is a simple USB-C port on the bottom under a cover to plug in and recharge the unit. There was a small sale when I purchased the unit so that helped some. Overall, I'm very happy with the unit and hopefully, it keeps working without any issues.

Great for navigating trails
Purchased this as a gift for a new dedicated road bike rider. They did purchase a different mount, but over all very pleased with the size, display, and accuracy of this bike computer. I'm pleased that they can share the ride via Garmin's shared "iivetrack" plus set up an emergency notification. This unit syncs well with Strava and other apps. The rider traverses county roads and a dedicated bike, walking, and horse trail in the suburbs. The opportunity for unpleasant encounters are high so happy there is a bike-to-emergency- phone contact. The gradiant and elevation features are excellent--aren't many flat roads here. Rider also purchased a Garmin watch. Very happy with purchase.

Nice upgrade
This was a nice upgrade from my old 520+. It was easy to set up transfer all of my information over from the old unit including all of the sensors (heart rate, power meter, tail light, etc). So far excellent battery life, and the display is huge, which is nice when I need to look at where I'm at on the map. Tons of customizable data fields, so I can see all of stats right away. I thought I would hate the touchscreen also, but it's actually been great. The concern is that it rains a lot here the Pacific Northwest, but no issues so far. It's not the newest unit available, but it was on sale for a great price, so I was hard to justify the additional cost for the newer version.

Great Garmin
I believe this is my 4th Garmin and by far the best. I will say it takes some time to set up & sort through all the screens and options that you can have and how to manipulate the data screens. But it's easy to change data within a screen and once you get the screens you want it's really awesome. I love having different screen options as I ride in CO half the year, where things like elevation and incline are really helpful. But when I'm on more flat rides I don't need that screen. Great versatility. Oh and the charge is amazing. My previous 510 only gave me two rides before it needed charging. The 1030 lasts 3 to 4 times longer I'd say.

Excellent, except cadence sensor will NOT connect to device
I like this a lot. I did a ride the day after I received it, using the route map provided online. Easy and nearly foolproof. The heart rate sensor and speed sensors connected with no problems. But try as I might, I cannot get the cadence sensor to connect to the device. I've tried a new battery and watching YouTube videos for help. No luck. While I don't HAVE to have a cadence sensor, for this price it should work as it is supposed to.

Perfect for those looking to track cycling
The accuracy and readability of this device is great. I find it very useful. The connectivity does work even while cycling from remote areas. There is good value for money.

Great, large screen for viewing lots of data at once
I purchased this particular computer for the large screen so that I can view several pieces of data. Unless you want all that data on one screen, you might want to consider a smaller, more compact computer. Battery life on this device is amazing even with GPS and bluetooth. And, Garmin just makes a great product. There's an incredible amount of features, and most of it is intuitive.

The best cycling GPS out there.
I’ve owned 4 previous models of the Garmin Edge for cycling so I am very familiar with them. The 1030 Plus has basically the same features as the popular 830 that I replaced but with a larger display and longer battery life. Everything else including the software is about the same. The 1030 plus seems rather expensive compared to the 830 because you are not getting a whole more for your money. I love the larger 1030 touch screen color display because the Map navigation and custom Garmin Apps crammed with lots of cycling data are way easier to read during cycling. Also, the battery life is way better for those all day rides. If you want the KOM of cycling computers, look no further.
