Firstly and most importantly, always ALWAYS sterilize your instruments before and after a trimming session. Secondly, take the time to soak your feet before starting. This will make the clipping a lot easier. This kit has everything you need to do it yourself, and get it right. If your a first timer a doing it yourself, take your time, it's not as easy as when someone else is doing it for you, because their arms are not attached to your body. But it can be less painful, because you can feel when you're about to clip too deep, and someone else can't. These tools are very well crafted, and definitely worth the investment

Well worth the money

When I opened the package, out came the cutest metal box filled with pedicure tools. Made of fairly substantial metal and of a nice weight, the instruments are well made, in my opinion. I had been looking at pedicure tools, but they were more expensive than I could afford. I took a chance buying these, but the price was really good for a complete set! And happily, the whole set was so well made, I shared the link with my daughter, and SHE bought a set!

I found the nail trimmers easy to use and each gave a smooth cut with no burrs. I am 70 and it has been difficult to keep my toe nails trim and smooth. This kit does the trick.

Nice kit but nail straightening tool won’t work

I used the end of a cotton swab to lift the nail over time after using the nail lifter tool, once I did that, and a few weeks keeping the cotton swab under the nail, I took it out and did one last cut of the nail, and found an embedded part of the nail that was hard as a rock and sharp pressing into the edge of my toe. The pain from that thing has put me in terrible moods several times with the wife, it wasnt even her fault! I would ask her to stop bothering me when i was "dissecting" my nail every few weeks. Finally... Once I got that out with this toolkit, and a month or two of the nail over growing and healing, I am now pain free after years of having it lodged in my toe! 10/10, use this product, push through the pain to get whatever is stuck in your toe and get that ingrown nail out! Good luck. :) just don't clip your nails past the white area, or the affected part and you'll be fine after!
