Very valuable to little ones navigating friendships
Our five year old was not interested in this book when it first arrived. When his best friend moved away, we got the book out again and started to read it around him … he was then really interested and asking lots of questions. We could tell it was helping him to process some of his thoughts and feelings around friendship. I recommend keeping this book at home and bringing it out when you feel your kids may benefit from it - lots of valuable perspectives on how to be a good friend, how to spot when a friend is maybe not actually a kind friend, how to manage boundaries, how to respect different interests and ideas, and lots more.

Every kid, and grown up, should have this book
This really is a gift to you and your child. It helps explain important aspects of friendship that is sometimes tricky to deal with, like when friends fall out or what is a good friend and what's not. It doesn't drone on and is very on point so the information goes in effectively. This was my 'go to' gift for kid's birthday presents last year.

Fantastic for creating empathy and understanding in young children
We purchased this for our 5 year old daughter as her emotions are changing at school and she is encountering people from all kinds of backgrounds. As her school has a brilliant focus on empathy and kindness, this book is the perfect accompaniment to reinforce everything that she is learning. This book covers so much from sadness to happiness and everything in between.

Really educational but easy to read. My 4 yr old loves it
My 4 yr old has just started primary school and he loves reading this book. I thought he might be too young to understand it but he takes it all in. It has really helped him understand the different friendships made in school. We also love the family and feelings book

Friendly book.
Our little one had some strange behaviour lately at school with her friends and decided to read this book for her hoping it might help. The results are really good! The book is meant to help kids understand how to behave with others and I think it did a good job

Amazing
My young daughters love this book. It's helped to get them talking lots about the different types of friendships that they have and has been really good at getting them to communicate better with eachother and often remind eachother of what it says in the book about sharing and using kind words etc. Really recommend this book for young children.
