I love this mild herbal tea
My brother-in-law is Israeli and has grown his own "Luisa" for years which i have become accustomed to during Sabbath meals. He has not had a bumper crop for 3 years now so i hesitate to ask him for some for personal use. After researching the internet, this Lemon Verbena is what he has been growing. The only problem is I underestimated how much 5 oz is. I have enough for many years! It comes in a very thick resealable bag but I take out a portion into another container so as to avoid exposing the contents repeatedly to the air.

mostly good
I thought this would be more leaf-like, but it's ground very fine, too fine. Very light on flavor.

Just what I wanted
Great taste! The bag is resealable so I don’t have to worry about the leaves going bad.

Stale flavor and sore throat
EDIT 3/6/24: I stopped drinking this for 4 days because my throat hurt so bad, I wanted to rule out other causes. No sore throat when I stopped 4 days. I brewed a 12oz cup after 4 days and had swollen sore throat then broke out in hives. This tastes nothing like lemon verbena and the reaction it causes is concerning. ————————- Very dry Brown more than green Brews the color of medium honey Tastes stale and gives me a sore throat Flavor is like soil.. tastes like dirt with a slight mild verbena aftertaste. I’m concerned about possible pesticides or chemical fertilizer residue because of the flavor and sore throat and tongue. DO NOT RECOMMEND
