Replaced old lock that is no longer made. Used existing strike plate, cylinder and handle. Was: Ideal Security- Super Guard Lock 2. Need 4 , #10-24 x 1 1/4" countersunk head screws to secure old handle.

I had this installed on a basement door to give us more protection than a single handle lock would provide. I opted for something much stronger than adding a dead bolt lock. This fits the bill. Quality of materials is good. Feeling more secure now.I installed this on a new door slab, so had to cut all of the holes and align. That worked well.

This lock is "Universal" so you have to cut the lock turning mechanism to the proper size. The instructions are detailed and actually come with a stencil, I found the stencil to be very helpful. Good luck..

Worth every penny

I need something to fit where an existing rim lock of the same style was. There are a few things I don’t like. The finish came damaged for one. The strike plate was made thinner and I had to put shims to get it in the right place. Also, the screws were black like most other black hardware. Looks a little bad with bright gold screws. Just seemed a bit cheap but I got it to fit and work.

It was horrible, the lock look it was used, because it even can with paint on it, their was missing bold, everything was plain horrible.
