Speedy service and fantastic looking sword! Great value.
Ordered the sword to fill out a costume I'm wearing Halloween. It looks fantastic, so good that in going to have to beef up the costume quality. ☺️ thank you. I'm very pleased with the purchase.

Scabbard didn't fit
First, the most glaring problem with this is that our sword does not fit in the scabbard. We've decided to live with it because the sword is pretty, and the scabbard is not, but it's kind of an obvious problem that shouldn't have happened. Second, I assume CSA stands for custom society of America, and it's really obnoxious that it is etched onto the sword, but we bought it with the intention of creating a story about it having previously belonged to a captain of name to be determined. The giant India stamp on the base of the sword is a choice for something made for the costume society of America that is supposed to be a relatively authentic sword. That said, the quality is very nice, and it's the perfect size and weight for my tween daughter.

It IS a "small" CSA sword, but an excellent value for price!
It is a small CSA sword, as advertised. Possibly designed for a child, but will fit my purpose quite well. I was originally looking for a Union short artillleryman's saber, but it was sold out. Decided to give this one a try. I thought that the "CSA" etching on the blade would be printed on and thus easily removed, but I was wrong. It's blackened but etched into the blade. I'll have to break out the grinder, but no problem. The hilt hand guard is a tight fit even for my small hands, but usable. The design and hardware are all top quality. The sword is a little loose in the scabbard, but that's ok. It is quite sturdy and should hold up well for reenactments or cosplay/Halloween wear.

Miniature sword
The sword is a miniature version of their larger saber, right down to the grip. The grip is only 3" long. The blade is curved, the picture made me think it would be a lot more straight. But it fits the curved scabbard well. As someone else said, it's a kid's toy, a tiny sword. Not what I was looking for, which is a small sword with a regular sized grip. Good quality build, clear etchings on both sides on this one, which was not the case with the full size saber I bought from Szco (same brand). So beware that it has a tiny grip and would be difficult for an adult to use.

I gave this to the ringbearer at my wedding. He loved it. It is a sturdy little sword and well constructed. Just remember, that it does come covered in oil (as it should, as this is what protects the sword from tarnish and rust), so you need to wipe it down before it is worn. The handle can just fit a medium sized adult hand, but seems more appropriate for a child or for display. Overall, it's a great value for a sword of this quality.

First of all, this is a scaled-down - not an adult-size sword. Nice gift for a kid, but can't be possibly used by a grown-up. Hilt is maybe 7" or something tight three-wire It has no distal taper, and hece got a "balance" of a metal rod with a handle. Geometry is not too bad, it could be used to learn cutting and chopping movements trajectory, and having a heavy blade would provide for a muscle building exercise while practicing guard positions Overall, I think it is a decent toy for a kid, it could be used to learn some basics, and it would make an ok wall hanger (in kids room - if you put it nest to a ka-bar, it will look puny). And the materials are good - steel, bronze, leather'ish handle... not bad at all. And it is made well Note for people not accustomed with shipping metal ware - it would arrive coated in sticky oily cosmoline-like substance, you would need to work it with a degreaser before you pass it to kiddo :-)
