I downloaded this book for my 12 year old daughter that is a raging anime and manga fan. She loves drawing and draws her own Anime and Manga style characters. I wanted to learn to draw animae and magna and this was great! I understand how people say it jumps ahead and how it isnt really step by step. It does kinda do that,but it didnt affect my drawings in any wagy. It just helped me try a bit harder!

Following poor art easily got me looking for distractions. Her style was like mine when I waa 11. Lacked movement as well.

Great examples in drawings, however it does skip over additions that are visible in the examples.

I really loved the tips at the beginning of the book. This provided insight that I haven't seen anywhere else and I think it will be very helpful in my art studies. The drawing part itself wasn't bad, but it wasn't as helpful as other books. Most of the images are just headshots and I felt like some of the jumps from one stage to the next in the drawing was a bit abrupt and a little harder to follow than I'd like.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review, but my opinions are my own.

The book says step by step, but it just says draw eyes, but no instructions on HOW to draw the eyes. I did not really find it step by step. However if you just need a basic idea of how to draw them this will work.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
