Retroactively And Chronologically Precise Series!
AVGN has been a momento of mine since I was a teenager... Im 26 now, but man, seeing all these episodes now settles it up for me! I’m a big fan of AVGN, and so is my brother. We’re such big fans, that we actually want to go and see James Rolfe (AVGN), and Mike Mattei at one of the conventions or whatever they attend some time! That definitely ought to happen eventually, but right now, I’m getting hours of special features, and 100 episodes of AVGN to see from these blue ray discs, which is totally awesome overall!!AVGN really is an amazing series. Its a little vulgar—just a bit, cause of the swearing, but it has absolutely superb moments that attempt to draw out humor in playing video games that have either bad design, bad programming, or overall high difficulty settings which make them unbearable to play most of the time, if not, then, all the time... lol...James made AVGN have fantastic editing points in the overall thematic scenes for the episodes, and I have to mention too, that the acting really is fantastic... The expression parts really make this series phenomenal, and I can see why playing the role of AVGN would be a lot of fun for James Rolfe!Mike Mattei seems to always pop in as someone in an episode or two during AVGN. He is the artist for the series, and is very talented at what he does. His roles are pretty amusing... the props that James and Mike have for the show are amazing.AVGN, overall, is, and remains to be, one of the internets best leading historians for retro based video games and video game systems. Im extremely impressed by how well James sets the theme for his audience—it literally seems like he puts himself in place of his audience while he is in the makings of this series and other videos that get designed and edited by him... That would make sense too, since, if everything is edited and made by him, he really makes himself the star all the time, which is excellent!!I hope James continues to excel and push for more episodes. Maybe Cinemassacre will even spruce up a new series or two! That’d be cool...James Rolfe is very talented, and so is Mike Matei. Thanks to these guys, Cinemassacre, and anyone affiliated with it, we have the historian for retro video games that is better than any website article or newspaper article, cause its the filming of AVGN that puts the audience into the hype. Which is easier and more entertaining for all of us! Am I not right folks?!Anyways, thanks you guys. Y’all rock. Lolz.-Littlelink

The Biggest, Baddest Collection of AVGN Greatness yet!
The BFG of Blurays is here, and you get exactly what it said it does. The whole set includes all the Bluray releases of the AVGN shows to date, including the X2 and X3 sets that were previously out of print, and an exclusive set with videos up to episode 164 from 2019.Just about everything* that was released related to the Nerd can be found on here, including content provided by ScrewAttack, Mike Matei, special segments for certain events (Pat Contri's charity events, charity auctions, autobiographies, and other Easter eggs), as well as fun one-offs (N64 poop, The Wii Salute, etc) that are either hard to find these days, or are no longer present online. To put it short, if you had never purchased any physical media, this is the best you can get.If you've been collecting DVDs, you may want to continue that collection. Blu-ray does offer better picture clarity for episodes past 100 (the first 100 being in SD), and the convenience of having as many episodes as possible on a single disc, but is otherwise the same sort of content you would expect. Future releases are still going to have DVD versions. There are a few issues I do have, some of which are not the fault of the people behind this collection. Some episodes are heavily edited for these releases. Mostly music changes with sound alikes, covers and other remixes, with more heavy changes being movie clips and other references to relevant media being removed, subdued, or replaced. For some episodes, this disrupts the flow and pacing. For others, it outright changes them around (which for some, can be seen as a unique experiences). For a few, they are omitted so much that it doesn't flow as well as the YouTube/Gametrailers release, namely the TMNT3 movie review (ending only), and the SMB3 review (The Wizard movie half was removed). I always found it weird that the AVGN movie is never included in these compilations, but the review part of it is included here, so if you only cared about that, there you go.In closing, this is an excellent set of blurays to add to your collection. Great to have in the background while you do your laundry, clean your living room, play with your cat, etc. While the videos can be seen for free online, having the physical media and being able to enjoy it at my leisure is big for me. I hope to see more AVGN content released on disc soon!

Love the Nerd and love this box set
Brought this box set because I’m a big angry video game nerd fan. I’ll talk about the pros and cons. The pros is this box set has 8 disc with plenty of bonus features, a killer box art and the episodes look gorgeous on my tv (first 100 are SD, after that they become HD but all the episodes look really good). The box set comes with 2 extra disc slots future releases. Disc 9 is already out and I already have it in my box set, Just waiting on disc 10 to be released. The only major con is some of the episodes from the early seasons are edited with copyright material removed liked movie scenes and music. However this is not the end of the world as someone online made an iso file containing the unedited episodes. I plan to burn these episodes to a disc and add it to a slipcase to put inside the box set. One small con is this box set does not contain the movie, however the movie in blue ray form is like 20 bucks on Amazon so it’s not a big deal. While the price is a bit high and i feel the movie should have been included, over all I’m very happy with my purchase!
