Nutra Thrive Canine Nutritional Supplement

I bought this product from the company on June 3,2020 after I saw an infomercial on the web touting its benefits with a horse called "Sly." Because of a mix-up by the Post Office, I did not receive the product. I called the company and they said they would send out another jar.After receiving the second jar on June 19,2020, I started feeding small amounts to my Jack Russell Terrier/ Chihuahua by mixing it in with his other food. Within 3-4 days I noticed that my dog had black diarrhea. I also noticed that he was scratching his anal area with his teeth. I noticed that the anal area was red. I took him off the supplement and I thought everything would return to normal. I did not at that time check his entire body. I thought the redness was confined to his anal area.. Then on June 29th, I saw that he had red blotches on his flank and stomach area. I WAS IN A PANIC! I got on the Internet and started to research h the issue. After my research I thought it could be ringworm. I took him to a vet and to my surprise, it was not ringworm, but a strong allergic reaction to something. I told him about my use of Nutra Thrive. He and I concluded that there must have been something in the ingredients that caused that reaction. I was dumbfounded! Anyway, the vet gave him a cortisone shot, put him on antibiotics for two weeks, shaved his stomach and flank area so I could spray gentacalm on his body throughout the day. He also has a cone around his neck so he can't scratch around his anal area. My dog is not happy! UNBELIEVABLE! The vet bill was $298.99! PRIOR TO THIS EVENT MY DOG HAd NEVER BEEN TO A VET FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN TO GET HIS YEARLY SHOTS. I have owned him for 4 years. He is 10 years old.. I would suggest to anyone that uses this product that if your pet has diarrhea, IN MY OPINION, STOP USING THE PRODUCT IMMEDIATELY!

I was really excited about this product after seeing an ad on FB...now I'm upset I wasted $140 buying one for my dogs and one for my cat...Within two days of use, my 2yo dog was throwing up and my 6mo had bad diarrea (hasn't pooped in the house since the week we brought her home and it came on so sudden she had an accident in the house, poor baby...) My cat wouldn't touch it and that container was NOT worth the price paid for the amount...Do not buy this product. As stated in another review, the container has less than you'd expect for the size/price it is, and the product we received was manufactured more than a year prior (and has a shelf life of two years.) They've been sitting for an awfully long while for a product that has such "amazing" benifits...if it did what it promised more people would be talking positively about it and it would be flying off the shelves.

Maybe this works for other dogs but both my dogs are throwing up 2 hours after they ate it. It did not agree with them at all.

Disappointed to find the manufacture date asJan 29 , 2019 . Beneath was a label saying it was good for upto 2 years from this date !Since I received on 24 June, 2020 this indicates it’s been a long time in store awaiting sale - given that this a food supplement it’s effectiveness must be questionable . Certainly storage conditions for this length of time would need to be perfect and this is unknown . I would like to have seen a sell by date . I have decided to test it’s efficacy but am unlikely to risk reordering.

I bought the first container directly thru Ultimate Pet Nutrition. It worked great for my dog. He quit chewing his paws. I got 2nd container from Amazon. My dog started chewing his paws again. I contacted the company directly where I got the first container. They informed me they DO NOT SELL THEIR PRODUCT thru ANY 3RD PARTY INCLUDING AMAZON. THEY also told me if Amazon is selling they are doing so illegally. This is not the product it claims to be. Do not buy.

I just can’t believe I wasted $50 on this item. I just got it, so I haven’t tried it yet, but it’s going to be like gold putting it on their food even if it does work well for my dog. The jar is so tiny. I sat a spice jar beside it so you could compare and to top it off, it was only HALF full. Nope not doing this again. I’ll search for something else.

I BEG YOU, DO NOT DO THIS TO YOUR DOG. DO NOT PUT THIS ON THEIR FOOD. DO NOT PURCHASE!!!!!

My dog is about 11 years old. I will say my dog looked like she was on her death bed. She was laying down all day, nose was dry. She didn’t want to get up except for bathroom use and wasn’t very alert. This was not sudden but had been this way for months and progressively got worse. I tried this product and with 1st dose, I noticed next day her hair was super soft, by 2nd and 3rd day she was up and alert and walking again. 4th day she was up before me wagging her tail and playing with other dogs. I am on 5 th day now. Yes the price was high but worth it. I cant say enough wonderful things about this product because it definitely shows. Thank you for helping my dog.Update:: coming back now its 9/5/20. Purchased on 8/25/20. My dog is running and keeping up with younger dogs now. She gets up and actually wakes me up in the morning now cause she is ready to go. She has become so playful again and loves the attention. I feel like this product has added years to her life. Thank you again for everything.
