Mythic Britain: Roleplaying in Dark Ages Britain

If you want a sourcebook closer to the sense of Celtic Britain
It would be difficult for anyone to produce a sourcebook for the Celtic cultures of Europe, that was both thorough and authentic to a modern audience, since we do not have that level of information. However, we can use imagination and the sources of information we do have (ancient texts and archaeology) to create a useful simulation that 'feels right'. Mythic Britain, for me, has done this, within the limitations and assumptions of the Mythras Rpg system. Even if you are not intending to use the Mythic Britain system, this is a stimulating and useful sourcebook for the British Isles in this era. I also have the accompanying Logres (the Saxons) and Waterlands, and so I am committed to this legend.

Shines a light on the Dark Ages...
This ambitious black-and-white hardcover is simply the best RPG book on the market for those seeking the flavour of the Dark Ages.Written for the d100 Mythras (Runequest in all but name) system, it details the history, geography, culture and beliefs of King Arthur’s Britain, along with new rules and a campaign arc.Cubicle 7’s Keltia is also a worthy contender for the period, if you’re after a full rules set, too. But Mythic Britain is purely a setting book, with a bigger page count, so you get more detail for your dollar with this one.

I would recommend reading Geoffrey of Monmouth's History of the Kings of ...
Huge tome that builds on the Mythras rules to add specific cultures and careers suitable to a traditional Arthurian setting. I would recommend reading Geoffrey of Monmouth's History of the Kings of Britain if running a game using this book - it ties in to that work quite well, although not explicitly stated.

Excellent
One of the best roleplaying supplements there is. Evokes the period of Arthur and the Celts perfectly. Mythras is an excellent rules system too.
