The right tool for the job
Works as advertised. Just with they'd include this in the mic package as other manufacturers do. Seems like Rode is collecting cash for an item that should have been included with the mic.

Better than a foam windscreen
This is a -have for outdoor audio recording with the Rode VideoMic NTG. It blocks wind noise far better than the foam windscreen.

Pretty Rad
I think it’s a bit overpriced however it may be an actual animals fur which I could understand the price point. Great to keep the wind noise out.

Expensive but worth it
Very effective in shooting in windy conditions. Seems over priced to me but it does work well.

Works great with a7iii
Fits my a7iii perfectly and works with no hissing or humming. Also works natively with an iPhone. Very directional and the gain dial is very good. Only negative thing to say is that there is no battery level indicator.

Used this on the Rode NTG
Used this to film in high wind with the Rode NTG and it's been very useful. Was able to hear up to four people in high wind crystal clear.

Definitely a worth while investment if using your NTG mic outdoors.... I initially thought the foam cover that came with the mic would be sufficient for my needs but even mild breezes would still be picked up when outdoors. With this 'dead cat' though, nearly all wind noise seems to be caught whilst still allowing mic to clearly pick up vocals when talking to the camera.
