I am very pleased with this kettle. It is all stainless steel from inside.. No plastic.. not at the joints, not at the strainer, no where inside! I went through so many reviews and tried three kettles before I finally got one that was no plastic at all from the inside and looked decent. Works well and no problem so far on day 2. Only thing is that the lid handle needs to be pulled off to refill the kettle which is different than the usual button system. Not a problem though. I changed the handle of the lid with the plastic one provided, as the steel one heats up. The manufacturers should have done that them selves in the first place! No point of a heated lid handle. Update: I am returning this kettle as the awful smell of plastic from the heating element is not wearing off and also because it is not heating the water to a good boil.

I have been using this for more than three years.m, every day. Works all the time. Recently had to purchase a new one, and stopped working after a little over month. Seller has been very responsive, quickly send a replacement. Great product and great to work with.

Absolute return on day one! This is a hazard to humans! We have been on a quest to find a 100% stainless steel electric kettle that doesn’t have any plastic touching hot water. We’ve tried so many and have researched many others! It appears to be even more difficult than finding diamonds. We finally came to this one. I give it to them that it looks beautiful and it’s 99.9% steel (I’ll tell you why that 0.1% matters). Everything is steel except one tiny piece that connects the internal thermostat to the bottom. It’s plastic, and boy it does smell awful when water is boiling. I am surprised how awful the water smells when you boil it. First I thought it’s brand new and may be it’s something they used in manufacturing and it’ll go away. But it doesn’t and it gets even worse! I have boiled water in this kettle at least ten times to make the smell go away but it gets even worse! It’s because of that tiny plastic piece and I don’t know what it is! But it certainly smells awful and intolerable. I can bet you it’s leaching chemicals into the water! Nonetheless, sharing this here to save you from going down this path! I’m returning this and going back to the endless quest for a nice stainless steel kettle. Why is it so difficult to find one?!!

Great price, simple and effective product. All stainless container with plastic components-water only touches the stainless so we do not have to worry about chemical leech from the plastic. Effortless water heating with super convenient lift-off base function. When you need to put it back on the base, just set it on, nothing to 'line up.' No hot base when water is boiling, safe to sit on any surface - excellant ideas. Automatically, mechanically, turns off when water is boiling. Excellant product. Thank you.

Nice looking enough, the kettle heats up quickly and the spout makes it easy to pour smoothly. Not the best in terms of the lid however. Entire kettle and lid get extremely hot, and the lid attaches in a way that makes it hard to remove without burning yourself if you need to refill soon after a 1st potful.

My old Bodum plastic kettle finally died so I needed something new that was larger. This kettle holds a large amount of water and it’s easy to use. You just press the little lever down and wait for it to pop up when the water is ready - just like a rice cooker! There is a clearly marked maximum fill marked piece of metal inside (see my pic to see what I mean). Out of the box it comes with a metal ring/holder thing attached to the lid but inside of the box is another option that’s plastic. I changed it right away because I didn’t want to burn my fingers. I think this is a nice touch and looks like it was due to previous reviewers’ comments about that piece. It’s a really nice looking kettle and I don’t mind it living on my counter.

We purchased this kettle in December 2020. In April 2022 the automatic shut-off stopped working, which is a safety issue as the water is at risk of boiling off and potentially starting a fire. It has also started leaking out of the hole where the on/off switch lives. 1.5 years of daily use isn't particularly impressive to me. I think it should have lasted longer, and I am disappointed.

This is a great kettle while it lasted. Stainless steel parts, autooff etc. it got a fair bit of use over the nearly 3 years. However we ran into a few issues, the aut-off stopped working after 2 years, first the light on it and then the switch. More recently it started leaking from the bottom and hot water drips and steam started escaping. Found it after a lot of research and were happy with it besides these issues. Not sure if we want to buy another one from the same company as I expected it to be more durable.
