It works!
My back gives me grief from time to time; when that happens I am unable to wash my hair easily. This aid helps as it means I can sit leaning back against the sink as opposed to the agony of standing up and leaning over the sink. It does work- it funnels the water down the plughole and once you get the knack of using it, it doesn't really make a mess. You do need someone else to wash your hair for you while you hold the tray tight around your neck (tip: put a towel around your shoulders first, then put the tray around your neck and pull the edges of the towel up through the gaps- it stops your back from being soaked. I learned the hard way so you don't have to!).It isn't without its issues though. The tray could do with being a fraction shorter as it gets in the way of the taps meaning you have to keep leaning backwards and forwards so the person washing your hair can actually get to them and get a jug in the sink! It's also quite heavy. Considering this is intended for use by the elderly, disabled, and those with general aches and pains and wear and tear, it ideally should be a bit lighter.Overall, for me it works and is a helpful aid for days when I feel a thousand years old. I hope it can help you too!

If you can’t go to the salon...
A fantastic product for washing hair when in quarantine. My partner washed my hair for me and I was able to lean against the bath, sat on a cushion and pulling the strap towards my chest. My clothes didn’t get wet but the tray would have benefited from a pad to the back. Other than that, a very handy (less luxurious/sophisticated) alternative to a Hairdresser’s sink. I would recommend it for anyone unable to wash their own hair or attend a salon.Edit: unfortunately the strap is now broken which means I have to hold the tray up during washes.

Catches most the water
I've used this for washing Mother's hair once. I found it catches most of the water but some does get down Mum's back and on the floor. A towel around the shoulders is necessary. Luckily we have a shower stool so we're not wrecking a wood chair using it. We were new to it so it could just be us, but not as good as at the hairdresser's. So I've given it four stars. It does get most of the water down the sink.

Buyer beware!
Water went all down my back. Strap came off of rivet on first use. Cushioning seems to be coming away from tray. Not impressed.

Hard to keep dry
Easy to use if the person you are washing the hair for is capable of keeping the tray tight, close to their neck and at a good angle. In my experience ..... it gets them wet all the way down their backs. Sorry x
