I took a chance on a used book and was Extremely pleased! It more than met my expectations!

This beautiful book had an excellent price. The pictures are absolutely gorgeous, the book is reasonably large, heavy and expensive looking. I deducted a star, because the text is too full of big scientific words to be easily understood by the average reader.

If I didn't like butterflies, I suppose that I wouldn't have bought this book. I don't know much about butterflies but I'm sure to once I've read the information. It's given in a clear and informal style and also provides the Latin names for each butterfly photo and just the right amount of detail about habitat and so on. The photos are amazing! dazzling! !!!! I just can't say enough about how I love this book. It arrived just a few hours ago and I'll be spending the evening no doubt gasping and smiling at the beauty of it. If you're a would-be artist this book will show you just which color will go with what in a most delightful way. Using such fine examples in my painting endeavors means that I can 'wing it' with confidence when applying color.
