The oil is moisturizing.

Castor oil is very effective in promoting hair growth and strength. This product which includes basil, is much more lightweight and easier to use than heavy castor oil. I have purchased it more than once although it lasts a while.

First of all, the REAL product works wonders - I bought a bottle at CVS a while ago, and even though it is hair oil, it doesn't feel oily at all and is super lightweight and refreshing. You couldn't even tell I had product in my hair at all. Now, since my bottle ended, I searched on Amazon and bought a new one of the exact same product, same brand, everything, but...SCAM ALERT!Whatever is in this bottle, is not what they're advertising. When I went to take the seal off, I noticed it had a hole in it, but didn't think anything about it. In the first picture you can see, I had just washed and dried my hair, so it was clean, I then added the oil and it looked so bad, it looked like it was wet. That first time I thought I accidentally applied too much, so I just let it slip.The second time, however, confirmed that this product is something else. As far as I know, it could be vegetable oil with some scent, as it even smells different than the real one... again, the picture of my hand is right after I ran it through my clean and just-washed hair! I had to wash it again because it was dripping oil! The real product never once did this to me.DO NOT BUY THIS!
