It was easy, affordable, and beautiful. I absolutely loved having these in my room. I especially love how it had various types of lighting.

I installed this set in my studio in the basement and it installed fairly easily and at first everything worked great. After about a week suddenly the buttons on the remote started to do random things instead of what they were supposed to do and the power button did not work. The power button on the main unit also did not work at that point and the other buttons did nothing. I contacted support and after sending them a video showing the problems they immediately offered to send me a new unit which should be arriving tomorrow. (Super- fast response and shipping) I really enjoy these lights the strips had good adhesion to the walls the brightness level was great for my purposes and the remote control, when working does a great job and has all the features that I need it to. The problems that I had were only a minor setback and because of the superior customer service I will be purchasing Govee products again.The only suggestion that I would have is that govi would include right angle, T-splicer, and splice connectors to the Box so that it would be easier to install around a window or around curves.

Second EDIT: After being in contact through email with Claire, I can honestly say that this is the single greatest company I have ever had the pleasure of working with! Their customer support is otherworldly!EDIT: I looked through the reviews to see if anyone else has the same issue I did, and someone mentioned contacting their customer service and having someone respond immediately with a replacement. I went to their website, and there's a page to request a replacement strip. I submitted the information with a video of the issue, and Claire responded within 24 hours with not only instructions on how to possibly reset the lights to make them work, but also a pledge to send out a replacement free of charge! I'm keeping my review at 3-stars for the fast response and dedication to their product, and will give it 5-stars when the replacement lights arrive.Original review: I purchased these lights with the intention of running them along the top of my ceiling in channels, and behind my desk. I cut the LEDs along the copper connectors and used 4-Pin RGB LED Light Strip Connectors to wire them where I needed. They worked very well for a few days, then one day it only shined turquoise. I cannot change the colors at all, and I can only change the brightness. It broke somewhere in the controller, which would have been an easy return had I not modified the strip. I have wired LEDs using the same method for years without incident, but I've always used an Arduino running WLED and have never used a strip with a built-in controller. The return policy specifies that the product must be new and unused, so I guess I'm just out of luck. There are plenty of reviews raving about how good this product is, so I'm sure I must have been the unlucky one who struck out. At least for a few days my room looked pretty cool!

I really liked this lights especially considering the 65 foot length was necessary to completely border the ceiling in my living room. I love that they're wi-fi enabled as well. The app is really easy to use although Govee's RGB lights don't have the same neat effects and aren't as bright as their dreamcolor lights.But and here is the kicker. I use them for a few hours a night and have had them for 6 months and sections of the strips have begun to fail. I have used other brands in other rooms for years without any of the LEDs failing. It only seems to be the blue LEDs and they seem to fail in groups of 5 or 6. It started with one group failing to the right which I shrugged off but then tonight I was playing video games and a chunk failed right in front of me over the TV. For the price you'd expect these lights to last you longer than half a year. I will have to look into whether or not they have a warranty.[UPDATE]I sent Govee some info on the app in their "Rapid Replacement" section. They got back to me within a day with a few additional questions. Two days later they sent me an entire replacement. What the company lacks in quality control they make up for with great customer service. Giving 4 stars because it took me an hour to set them up the first time because of the length and the height of my ceiling. Now I'll have to remove the old and install the new which is time consuming. Great customer service on Govee's part nonetheless. Glad to have proper functioning lights again. Will probably leave the faulty up until more sections fail and then replace at a later date.

Wasn't expecting to like these lights as much as I do. I'm pretty much a hard core Lifx girl, but their strips are often out of stock and SO expensive, so I tried this instead and was really pleasantly surprised.They were really easy to work with, the adhesion is super sticky and I have no concerns that they'll fall off or not hold their place.The colors are bright enough. The remote isn't great but the app on your phone works really well, with just a short delay. I made my own custom theme for Halloween really easily, and I also was able to set them up with my Google Assistant, so now I can use voice commands to turn them on or off OR change colors!I was a little worried that when I trimmed them it was going to ruin the whole string, but it didn't. so I was able to trim them to the perfect length that I needed.
