Great guide for travel
I liked the information of places to see, eat, and stay! We went to several of the places suggested and we’re very pleased!

Expected Better
The research for this book is lacking. She states the Pony Express ran from Independence, Missouri. That is incorrect as it started in Saint Joseph, Missouri. St. Joe isn’t mentioned, and considering it was one of the starting points of the Oregon Trail, and has so much history and many museums. The only correct reference is in the “History” section where is correctly shows the route. After reading several other Oregon Trail books, some of the sections sounded very similar to what was in this book. There is a lot of good information, and well done as a tour book. AAA guidebook would probably be as good a resource.

Delightful reading for all
This delightful book is a pleasure to read even if for just the historical information. Katrina writes with such clarity and creativity, pointing out must see points of interest and places to visit. I can’t wait to bring my Oregon Trail book on the road!

Another great addition from moon
Looking forward to using this on our trip east to re-create the Oregon trail in reverse! As with all moon books, this is well organized, and thoughtfully laid out. Should be a big help on our trip.
