Getting used to this new-to-me spice.
I dont cook Mediterranean, have no background with this spice.I was hoping that since it's lime, that there would be a tart tang to it. After that 1st disappointment, I've been trying this umami spice on dishes- mostly chicken. I like it. The flavor is subtle, not bold. Good, but I won't buy it again at this price.

Taste good, but
Flavor is nice, like a mild taste of lime. But if looks matter there’s not a pretty face, especially if you use enough to get a more intense flavor. But I’m using it in other cases, anywhere I’d use lime, or lemon also. It was great on my sal,on yesterday, but I was only observer.

Best Product in my Kitchen
Yes, this is a broad statement! With so many great spices and kitchen tools, who knew that Black Lime would be the best thing? I saw this item on a cooking series and decided to try it. Now, it is used with most food I make. This company is high quality and I use a few of their products regularly. But this Black Lime has a flavor that is deep and citrus like, but with a whole different flavor. The products from Burlap & Barrel are purchased directly from the small farmers/ growers, so they are ethical. Try this black lime. Many friends have purchased this and it has also become one of their favorite spices/ ingredients, too.

Great product
I saw for the first time at a sushi restaurant they added this to my dish. It has a lime light smoke flavor. I find it tasty with Ceviche and fish tacos.

Don't Buy It
My bottle is a complete throw away. Not sealed properly. Came covered in fine black powder which is the supposed spice which should be inside the bottle not all over it. It has no smell and no taste so it is has not been stored properly and is worthless. I didn't know it was unreturnable until I just tried to do so. I like lime and I would like to try the real thing as I saw it on Shark Tank. What I got however is not what was shown on that show where there were lots of comments about the strong taste and smell.
