Sturdy and Does The Job Well
Review for 14" Rivet Nut Tool, Hand Rivet Nut Setter Kit with 6pcs Metric/SAE Interchangeable Mandrel(1/4-20, 5/16-18, 3/8-16, M6, M8, M10,) Rivet Installation Tool with Carry Case 21 Pieces Rivet Nuts.I needed to fix a few rivets on a step ladder that had sheared and broken, not really knowing how to do this I came across this device which allowed me to complete such a repair. The gun itself is strong and sturdy to inspire confidence as well providing the strength to pop in the rivets with various bits suitable for different purposes as well as being supplied with several different sized rivets ready to use out the box. Since my initial use I have successfully used this in other applications requiring rivet style fixings I would not other wise have considered. For me this has been decent investment as I have managed to fix and repair several items in addition to lending this to friends for them to use. Overall useful tool which comes with hard plastic storage case.

Excellent quality, a good set of mandrels but not many nuts
Very good quality riveting tool. This is a definately upgrade from the gun type that I've used before this, there is a lot more power and a more secure hold with this style, it handles a lot better being square onto the hole rather than the gun style. The handles are a very good grip rubber and the bolts and housings you unscrewing to change the heads or adjust the pull are very good. This isn't cheap if you're not using it that often but it's very good value for money and the quality of the tool and the set as well is excellent. I have tried this on a couple of test pieces then on my outside light when I upgraded it to use a PIR sensor and needed to attach it to the bottom and it works great. You don't get many bits at all really but the M sizes are more common and easy to bit in bulk packs. You really don't get many with this.Highly recommend, a very good riveter

Strong, well made and easy to use.
I received this item through the Amazon Vine programme. A strong, well made nut riveter that comes with a selection of mandrels and nuts, in a substantial blown plastic case.Much easier in use than a one-handed type riveter (assuming you have the space to use it of course!), this sets the nut rivets well, and once set they don't rotate.Somewhat odd selection of Metric and SAE sizes, but everything works as it should. Decent grips on the handles. There is a spare cross-pin supplied, which is good because it's small and I can imagine losing it easily.Currently priced at £35.09 which compares well with similar items, so good value for money. 5 stars.

Much stronger than i anticipated.
This is a good quality, made to last item. The nuts all pull through and it works a treat. I expect this will last a long time!

OK if you need both Imperial and Metric
A proper setting tool is near essential with Rivet Nuts, otherwise it's too easy to push them through the panel etc. These rivet nuts are handy for making attachments to thin metal panels when tapping the metal is impossible.Open the blown plastic case carefully, I found pieces had become dislodged in transit. Also there's no handle on the box. The instructions are barely OK, but there's plenty of videos online on how to use these tools .This setting tool has both Imperial and Metric mandrels, the downside is you don't get any metric mandrels below 6mm. The other downside is that mandrels are held by a small cross-pin - there's a spare in the box. I've seen other designs which use a spring-loaded collar so there's nothing to get lost. The one advantage is changing mandrels is fractionally faster. The tool itself is well made, with a smooth actionOn balance, I'd go for an all metric set with mandrels from M3 to M12 rather than a mish-mash of Imperial and Matric and also a design which didn't rely on needing the tiny cross-pin to hold the mandrels.
