Resume: To accompany HIGHER MYSTICISM
This slim but potent book is a companion study to the much more in-depth and comprehensive HIGHER MYSTICISM by the same author, Emma Curtis Hopkins. The chapters, all 12 of them, follow a handy format. First, a list of Bible verses related to the chapter content. Verses are from the King James Version and should not pose too much difficulty in understanding their messages. Then Hopkins develops particularly focused themes or subjects. Her insight is keen and relevant. This is one book you'll want to read again and again, then dip back into the more difficult HIGHER MYSTICISM to round out your joy-bound experience.

Perfect Addition for Students of Hopkins teachings.
This book is the workbook for "High Mysticism". I find reading "Christian Science Mental Practice", "High Mysticism", "Resume" and EMC's "Bible Interpretations" adds more and more refinement to each Chapter and subject. Her teaching follows logically the same order in each volume, but is presented from a different angle. It is impossible to put these books down if you are a true student of the subject.

quotes from Resume
"There is a root of strength and vitality about everybody andeverything. The right speech with the right tonic in it can animate it intoastonishing virility. Even an apparently dead tree is reachable by thosewith the tone of this vitalizing mystery, in their secret speech. It is anunkillable quality resident at the roots of life, just as the actinic ray, thatsweetens the grape, is an unquenchable constituent of the sunshine." - Res."The needle cannot attract like a magnet if it does not yield itself intoto, to the magnet. So it is that no one can be the embodiment of thefive eternal proclamations, unless they have let their mind, their life, theirheart, and their body, go free to the winds of the Divine Fiat, looking up often to the Sun of Righteousness with healing in his wings." - Res."The Soul-Self is the everlasting reality of every person. The outerbody is the shadow system hiding the smiling Soul-Self. If anybody willturn to recognize their own Soul-Self, or Free Omnipotence, they willfind their outer form improving in looks, in health, in strength, and inspeech. The Christ Jesus Name is an embodying Name, causing to seeembodying of beauty, wealth, strength, and fresh life. If we recognizeout spiritual Self, we must go on recognizing it. Years and years ofturning to the flesh with its bones and nerves can hardly be undone by alittle hit-or-miss attention to the Shekinah glory that stands behind us." - Res."Authority with God discloses authority with the Self. The divine Selflies quiescent and still, waiting in all humankind to be stirred into actionby the outer self. Two kinds of action stir the still Self into action:command and praise.Once the Spirit is recognized, it acts. Recognition has a subtle law ofits own. Body and its speech are woven into relationship with the Soul,or Self, by recognition. We are to turn and speak to the divine Self back of us. As ourspeech has so far been shot forward, speaking to our neighbor, so nowat the turn of the tongue, we speak backward to raise up our outer selfby our hidden Self. This Self back of us, like a Shekinah pillar of cloud byday and of fire by night, is the friend of our outer self or outer life. It canmake the outer life whole, strong, and sane. For the truly sane know, that health can be awakened outwardly by the recognition of the Soul'sfree, flawless and immortal excellence. "The Spirit of a man is the candleof the Lord."(Ps 20:27) And by recognizing this candle sound health isestablished in the outer experience. "Awake up, my glory!"(Ps 57:8)Those whose Soul glows and flames through all they do and think, have discovered a bottomless well of living refreshment to draw from.Everything they do has the touch of spiritual charm about it. For theSoul is the everlasting reservoir of enchantment. "The fifth angelsounded," said John the Revelator (Rev 9:1) and a star-like characterappeared upon the depths of their own Soul, or the bottomless well ofpower and glory. And John saw that the being of Soul showedhumankind how to put their consciousness of flesh limitation andcommon sensation of pain and pleasure into trance, or sleep, for thesense of God's Presence to be most real. And thereby humanity shouldknow new laws of life...." - Res."Awake thou that sleepest!"(Eph 5:14) This is addressing with everstrongcommand the ever-present, glorious Soul.
