The directions are clear and the result was very good! Tastes just like my mom made it from scratch.

This came out just like the butter mochi we had in Hawaii: delicious and chewy and just the right amount of sweetness. I highly recommend.

My only complaint is that they have a slightly processed flavor, almost like the mochi you would get frozen. That said, when it is fresh and the top/bottom are crispy and the middle is warm and soft, it is so perfect that the flavor being slightly off is totally passable. Flavor is 8/10, texture 10/10, ease of making 12/10! Overall VERY delicious!

This mochi cake is so easy to make and my husband and I loved it. The problem is not getting into it for another piece!
