Awesome, sturdy/solid mount
Very sturdy, solid mount…fit perfectly whether I needed to do perpendicular or parallel on my trusses. Used it to mount my Big Maxx 50,000 btu garage heater. Used a flex pipe (yes…rated for the heater exhaust) on back…I can rotate as needed.A bit spendy, as far as mounts go, but fits well, very sturdy and hangs well.

Make your life easy
Very happy with this mount. In my last house I installed my garage heater with lag bolts and two by fours directly to the rafters. This was much faster and easier to get the angle I wanted on the heater and an added bonus. The heater sounds much quieter than my previous one.

Convenient and easy to install.
Because of my desired heater position and my joist spacing I was faced with a mounting dilemma.1) a couple of 2x4s would work but I would be left with a less than pleasing appearance. 2) Climbing into the attic to attach some mounting points was a option. 3) This.I had the heater mounted in 30 minutes, including figuring out how to position the sling with respect to the joists.Looks good and allows for fine tuning the final heater orientation.Would buy again.

Good with room for improvement
The product itself is good and makes installing a unit heater easier. But the directions are terrible. Also, it’s just amazing to me that it’s designed for the heater to hang off of just one bolt. Being that it is one bolt, it’s very difficult to level. You have to shim it with washers which makes the bolts not go into the heater as far and make it slightly less secure. They also give you 2 lag bolts but I put in 4 for more security. They should provide 4. They make no mention of the lock washers in the directions. Basically just put them on every nut.

I needed this because my barn trusses are 8’ apart and didn’t want to build a frame to hang my hot dawg heater. Very easy install.
