Great product, unfortunately size was not suitable for previous lock we were replacing. Return was easy at no cost and collected by royal mail disappointed that was not suitable but would use seller again for other products

DON'T BUY unless you want locked out
TLDR = Bought two, both faulty in different ways, faults risk being locked out if not spotted before install.I'm fitted lots of night latches and due to continued poor service from Yale switched to this manufacturer. First lock fully fitted but the key bar has no effect on the lock, it will not open it. This IS NOT a door thickness problem. Take lock off door and insert key bar all the way in (touching inside of oposite casing) same behavior, key bar just spins, hello....locked out. I spent a £10 on a new cylinder as I thought I must have cut the bar too short, that was a £10 wasted. As I had now butchered my door to fit this, I bought another hoping the first was a one off. New one just arrived, this key bar DOES open the lock however when latched open (unless EXTREME force is used) it snaps shut under the slightest tap....hello....locked out. Utter rubbish, do not buy, looks like I'm going back to crappy Yale.

You’ll need to trim the bar
I bought this rarer size of latch to replace one on our old interior front door. Note that the size here is unusually small compared to other locks that look similar but are larger. The benefit of ordering a lock that's fulfilled through Amazon is that you're not passing your address and key details to any strangers at a third party retailer.Installation was painful. I struggled for an hour trying to get the lock to latch to the backplate. Then I realised the connecting bar needed to have a small section hacksawed off. This is mentioned very briefly in the instructions leaflet. Our door is average thickness and, if anything, I would say probably quite thick. So, in other words, you will probably need to cut the bar.Remember that these locks are not secure. If your exterior door relies on one of these then something is wrong and you should get a mortise lock fitted. Ours is on an old door that’s behind a porch that has its own door and lock.

Spot on Dimensions
Spot on dimensions, replacing existing mechanism exactly. Can’t fault the product or the excellent service provided.

Ideal Replacement
A little chisel work to fit but otherwise virtually a direct replacement for my old Latch, a little stiff but WD40 and a bit of time will see that settle in.
