I use them without screws and just the 3M tape, it holds great. I have them in various places around the house and they hold my, fully loaded, SIG 229 and Kimber 1911 without and movement. I even tested my fully loaded AR15 which they held but had a slight slip at first, I had to change the angle and location of the rifle on the magnet. I dont use it for the AR but wanted to test the magnetic quality. I ordered more for friends and family, they love them too.Next test will be the vehicle and how it holds on rugged terrain.

Works great and just so you are certain, the 3M adhesive works just fine for a screwless installation. Don't believe the review that says it is only to temp install before it is screwed in. The adhesive is very strong and I stopped testing it after 50 lbs. If you can clamp it in place after you stick it on it's unbelievably strong after 12 hours! One magnet holds my full size 1911 with a full magazine like it's nothing. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone.

One of the rubber coats was all wrinkled up. I was able to straighten it out. I bought two, one was fine.the other had messed up . After I straighten it up ,and replaced all the bad tape.it would not hold . It kept wanting to buckle up ,would not stay on any surface..after 3 days the 1st one won't stick in my car. It came with 3m tape. I will try a stronger tape.

The little circle ones are better the "bear" brand but the plastic comes off. These hold we'll but the magnet isnt as strong but ots strong enough to hold any pistol and 2 will hold a rifle!

this order came with 2 magnetic gun mounts. I mounted one in my truck on the side of my console. It barely holds my little bodyguard. if I ever decided to carry one of my other pistols it would definitely not stay in place and would hit the floor often.

Unless your want to screw it in this is not the product for you. The 3m tape provided is not strong enough to hold on its own. I did not want to screw them in but it would not stick. I contacted the seller and the seller agreed to refund my money. Seller was easy to work with.

I actually trust that this magnet will hold my firearm. It’s mounted on the dash below my steering wheel. Because it molds to the curve it works well and looks decent. I kind of wish it was all black so it was a bit more conspicuous other than that it’s great

I have bought other magnets and these are the best to date. You don't have to screw anything into your dash the tape is strong enough. It holds my 357 auto sig, as easy as my 9mm HnK. Plus I use the other one in my safe as it dubs as an extra shelf.
