The head is easily threaded to the trimmer and restringing is a breeze. The head works great and the tapping easily releases additional string length. 100% satisfied even though I’m a fussy guy when it comes to tools.

Easy to apply and works good

I loved how easy it went in.The construction is solid.I'd dare say it may be better than the original.I did notice that it felt heavier than the original head.

It arrived today with no instructions. I returned to this page and found the diameter of string it takes. No mention of what length to cut it or how to load. I downloaded Stihl's manual for the 26-2. Hopefully everything works the same.

Works great

I thought I would save some money by buying a generic replacement. Reviews looked good, but my experience was not. The line simply wouldn't advance and it was very difficult to get the head apart to manually advance the line. Not worth the savings I had anticipated. This one heads to the trash and I will order the more expensive Stihl brand.

Worked well!

This bump head works fine, however it is approximately a 1/2 pound heavier than the stock Stihl bump head, based on my not calibrated scale. If weight is an issue then consider rebuilding the stock one. Also this bump head isn't as easy to wind the string as would be expected. You have to push the spool inward while turning. I found that using the palm of my hand to be easiest. I also have an Echo speedfeed 450 that is much easier to wind the string.
