It works as expected

We lost the FM antenna for our old National Panasonic stereo unit when we moved house. I got this one as it had the adaptor which we required for the screw-on pin connection - it fits perfectly. The unit can now pick up FM stations again but only about 3 with any great clarity, fortunately including our favourite. This may be because the full extended height of this antenna is only 36cm approx. I may get another longer aerial to try later but this is ok for the time being. Overall though not a bad product and not expensive. I may even be able to get more stations with more careful and patient tuning!

Still not receiving many dab stations with this.

Bought this to use with the tuner of a downstairs hifi system. In the previous house it was connected to a roof aerial for excellent reception, but that is not possible at the new house. When I connected this aerial, I was unable to get clear reception on any station, even though we live in an area of generally good reception. I tried every possible location, but that made no difference. I then tried this aerial instead with my Denon mini system. This system currently uses a ribbon aerial, which (even though I would not expect it to) provides good interference-free reception on both FM and DAB, picking up a wide range of stations. When I swapped in this aerial in its place, some of the stations it would just not pick up, and others had very poor reception, with the FM stereo switching to mono because of the poor signal it was getting. I tried various positions for the aerial, using the long cable. I was able to get worse reception (ie none!) but unable to get it to be any better. Poor was the best I could achieve. It's not the tuner, because I've now recopnnected to the original ribbon, and all is working fine as before. So I'm returning this. Time for a rethink.

I recently bought a panasonic dab/fm radio / hifi system and found the supplied aerial did not work very well. I tried plugging in my digital TV aerial, but that was worse. Looking on Amazon I found this aerial and it has so far worked extremely well. The scan identified all the DAB stations I want and reception of them is very clear. It was also very simple to setup.
