Incredible Quality Tent!
I love this tent! I have been spending significant periods of time outdoors as a rock climber for the last 13 years and have owned many quality tents. Recently I started spending much longer periods of time outside as I am pursuing more climbing and so I invested in this tent. It is worth every penny. It is spacious, and beautiful. Every single part of it is quality. It is actually not hard to set up even though it is A very big tent. Staking it down takes the most effort so you definitely need to be on a surface that you can stake into. But even as a single small woman I am able to set up the tent myself. The zippers are quality, the windows provide good ventilation, and the tent is weatherproof and good with the wind. This tent was made very thoughtfully. It is also very pretty! I spent a month in it in the desert and a month in it in the mountains and it endured the elements extremely well. I bought some LED string lights, a large portable battery, a small propane heater, and willpo roll up memory foam pads, also found on Amazon, and I absolutely love my tent set up. I recommend it to everyone who wants a nicer camping set up but doesn’t necessarily want to invest in an RV….One thing to note is the weight of the tent. My tent weighs like 100 pounds and I struggle to move it on my own. I find that I move the stakes bag, the poles bag, and the canvas bag separately, but this is just something to be aware of.You will not be disappointed in this product. I hope and believe my tent will last many years unlike many of my thinner backpacking type tents.

Great tent!
We received our white duck Prota cabin 10 10 x 14 the other day but have not got a chance to use it yet we will be in a couple of weeks. So far very impressed with the quality of the tent. Especially like the fact that it came with a mallet and different size stakes. We decided on this tent even though there’s only two of us, so that we can fit a queen size air mattress in it and a few other things. I also plan to put a portable air conditioner in it so I’m hoping the canvas will be a little better insulator than a nylon tent. So far so good. Well update after we use the tent.~~~~ UPDATE——- We set the tent up in the back yard just to check it out before we go on our camping trip. All I can say is WOW! We love it! I had a very small issue wit the tool bag that came with it, but customer service handled the problem very quickly. They were right on it and sent me a replacement. Good people. Now for the tent. We set it up no problem. The hardest thing for me to do was drive the stakes. We’re in our 60s and out of shape ,but has nothing to do with the tent. The rest of it was no problem. We put an air conditioner in it, and a queen bed. Still lots of room. Windows are very large and zippers work great. No cheap stuff here. I does have an electrical port Built in. The tub style floor is very good. Breaking camp was easy. Went back in the bag easy too. Poles are very sturdy. And very large windows too. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a four season tent.

Mostly pleased. Small details overlooked.
We’re new-ish full time RV’ers, and we bought the 10x14 Prota Deluxe for “extra space”. My initial impressions were that it’s was of fine quality and well made. Now it’s been up for six months and I have some reasonable concerns. The tent pegs that came with the tent were of two sizes. 16 Large pegs for the ground sheet and 16 smaller ones for the sides. The smaller ones were immediately bent and therefore unusable on the first set up. I would have thought that for the $900+ dollars spent on this tent that the pegs would be of better quality. Sure, tent pegs aren’t too expensive but it’s the idea that we had to buy new ones at all, considering the cost. When we took the tent down we were saddened to find that the larger sturdier pegs had significant corrosion and rust. Those too will need replacing since we do leave the tent up for six months at a time.My second complaint is that the canvas awning is beginning to mildew. It runs the entire 14’ width of the tent, right close to the seam that joins the awning to the tent. While yes, there are methods to control the mildew, it’s a tenacious creature that is extremely difficult to eradicate completely. What that means is that eventually the entire awning will likely become mottled with mildew and will be unusable. Again, for the cost- why cut corners on the awning? If I remember correctly the price difference between the standard and deluxe is a couple hundred dollars. Money I wish I had not spent, all things considered. The windows open from the top and must be rolled inward on themselves to keep any dust, sand or pollen from coming into the tent. This causes concern about the waterproof/rainproof nature of the tent. The doors open from the bottom (on the outside) and the tie backs are far too short for casual rolling up. It’s also strange that there’s no way to be certain that the Velcro closure on the bottom is completely sealed since the Velcro is on the outside. We’re heading to the Arizona desert next and I do wonder if the Velcro closure is sturdy enough to keep crawling and slithering creatures out.I may add a length of fabric to the interior bottom of the door and use another swath of Velcro to hold it closed from the inside.Lastly, this canvas tent is extremely heavy. Even if you remove the poles from the carrying bag it’s an unwieldy, bulky mess. As mentioned by other purchasers, there are no instructions on how to best fold the tent for maximum compression. The carrying bag is huge which does allow for an indelicately folded tent to be put away. The color was a lovely shade of forest green but has faded to a dusty sage on the top and on the awning. It’s a pretty color, I just wish it had faded all at once so it doesn’t look so cheap. I understand colorfastness is subject to UV exposure- however it was only up for six months and mostly in the shade of the pine, spruce and cedar trees of the Pacific NW.While I do believe that the tent itself is a great product it seems like the rest of the components were an afterthought at best. The 10x14 cannot be set up by one person. Honestly I think it’ll take two strong people to get it set up properly- the side poles that lift the tent up and off the ground become very heavy with the weight of the canvas and they want to pull the tent side to side as you raise it up. It takes some effort to center the poles on each side to be sure that you get the max square footage as well as taut sides. The quality of the awning poles is dubious compared to the other poles included with the tent. It seems like pulling the canvas too tight will cause the poles to buckle and truthfully they’re a little short. It’s hard to get enough extension of the awning without sacrificing the height of the awning. It very well could be that if the awning poles were longer we could have (possibly) minimized the mildew that appeared on the awning itself. Some here may believe that it was improper set up of the awning that caused the mildew. Not true. The awning was sloped down to funnel rainwater off the front right corner of the awning so there was zero puddling. We did the very best with the materials provided. Again, aside from the tent itself all additional components seem to be an afterthought.Thing is- we’re constantly getting compliments and questions from other campers. It’s unfortunate that I am forced to be 100% truthful about the tent as I do believe that with a little more effort it could be a five star product.I wouldn’t let these small issues prevent me from buying this tent- just be aware of the shortcomings so you won’t be disappointed.

Great company
I bought my canvas tent last year and never got to use it. Cue this year, yay let's go camping! I preset up my tent like any good camper should and realized immediately there was an issue with the 2 support posts. Even after a year I reached out to them with a couple photos and they replaced the posts, no questions asked!! What a great company to back up their product. The tent is fabulous, I did 4 nights in it with my boy. The bonus, I can set it up by myself! I will be a returning customer! If you want a company that provides AMAZING customer service I highly recommend them and their products!

Great tent, Good value
The set up directions could be a little more specific but having erected many tents over the years they proved adequate after some contemplation. The tent is wonderful. I wouldn’t want to set it up every night but it makes a great base camp. It is well made and spacious. Being canvas it heats up in the sun but there is plenty of ventilation to compensate for that. Unlike previous nylon tents that deteriorated in the elements we’re looking forward to using this one for years to come.
