It's hard to describe, but reading any of Edward Albee's plays is sort of breathtaking. Because of the banality of public life in America at the moment, I have decided to retreat into the world of literature and theatre, which reminds me how powerful words and thoughts can be.

A great anthology of a great American playwright.
The first of three collections of Edward Albee's plays. 1958-1965, I think were his best. Having them all in one place at the same time, one can truly see Albee's importance in the American theatre. This collection is a must for any serious theatre student.

Good stuff. Poor publishing.
Good content. Sloppy publishing. Typos. Mostly hard to read because of inadequate gutters between the pages.

I can't get enough of Edward Albee
I was recently introduced to Edward Albee's work with The Goat and Viriginia Woolfe. I can't wait to finish this volume and eventually read all of his works
