HTC VIVE Cosmos Elite VR Headset with enhanced SteamVR tracking

This is a brilliant headset, sound and graphics is amazing, TOP NOTCH, slightly heavy, but 10/10 SUPERB, Had some issues though with tracking and disconnects (fixed thanks to the internet)All games even HALF-LIFE ALYX run fantastically on a 290X, ignore all game requirements, this headset plays all games with the headsets recommended or minimum! Sure the quality is kind of blah due to low graphics, but it's all still fun and enjoyable!Also looks great on a 2080 TI - EVGA KINGPINI don't understand any reason to hate this headset, the valve index only has "Higher HZ and Higher FOV", but even that's really nothing. This headset is perfect!

HTC cannot be trusted. I bought their Vive Cosmos and an extended warranty. The unit has NEVER worked properly and HTC have given me the run-around for 9 months now. I am a software engineer and it's a faulty unit. I will never bujy anything from HTC again.

Tried setting up, went though all the steps like they advised and the headset would still not work, if it wasn't display ports not being detected even with a gpu with 2 display ports you would just get 3-4 differing error codes with minimal effort on the website on how to fix them.When it did work at random times, the view would be upside down with no way to fix it. Older vive headset models only needed one piece of software to work, now it's like 3+ and if any of them get a wiff of an issue this thing will not work at all and you only get more errors pop up. Seems like that they only built this headset with their own equipment and didn't bother checking at all to see if it works with differing hardware specifications and left all the debugging to the consumers.Unless you got a team of VIVE developers/installation experts, don't bother buying this massive headache.
