I debated with myself for a while over this kitchen tool. I thought I was being extravagant to indulge myself, but every time I had to pick up a hot dish out of my over the stove microwave, I wished I had it. Finally shopped it and found this one much cheaper than the black one just like it (go figure). So I broke down and bought it. I love it so much that I got another one for things in the oven that are larger and need weight lifted from both sides. This way I don't dip my pot holder or dish towel into the cookie sheet or whatever and get food on it. It grips really well and feels very secure. Very easy to clean and a well made sturdy tool. Love it really, and sure it will prevent some mishap that might include breaking a dish or getting burned.

These tongs are excellent for removing hot ceramic or glass or metal cooking/serving dishes from inside an Instant Pot, as might be needed in pot-in-pot cooking. Although one pair of the tongs will usually do the job with a smaller (1 quart or under) cooking dish, we keep a pair of them on hand, for larger dishes, or in case a small filled dish is heavy. Their grasping parts will fit into quite a small space (about 1/2 inch, maybe less) between the wall of the Instant Pot cooking pot and that of the pot-in-pot cooking/serving dish.

finally, found the perfect product. tested on all sizes and shapes of bowls and plates and it is a solid product. the other lifter / fork thing is outdated and this makes it obsolete. have been looking for a good one. thank you for this product. it doesn't slip. one suggestion is that it can have a longer handle tho, maybe 3-4 inches more. it is a mini tool right now but still great for what i need it for.

I have a tool similar to this from the 1950's. My daughter wanted one. Not easy to find one that clips onto different trays, bowls, plates. This seems to do the job.

I love this product. It is convenient and safe to use. It saves me a lot of time as I do not have to wait until the cooking stuff gets cool to check or to get it out.
